Sumo Slammer 3?! Thanks Kevin! This is the best! But why now?" As happy as he was, Ben was still quite confused as to WHY Kevin would be buying something like this for him. Something was definitely up for Kevin to be acting...nice! A few days ago, he had even been so considerate that he actually NOT minded that Ben had scratched his car.
"Only the best for you. I figured that now would be a good time. With THAT day coming up..."
"What day?" asked Ben.
Gwen sighed. "Mo..."
Being quickly cut off by Kevin.
"Ask your parents, Ben."
"Okay?" Ben walked off. In his mind, he was still puzzled. Why had Kevin been so nice? I mean, this was an ACTUAL copy of Sumo Slammer! The packaging and special codes were evidence of that. Ben walked out of the garage and into his house. Kevin and Gwen had come to visit, with Kevin insisting. Ben had been mystified by this decision, but accepted it. He went to his mother, who was sitting on a couch, reading a celebrity magazine.
"Hey, Mom, do you know if anything is coming up regarding me?"
Ben's mother gave an odd look. "No."
"Is anything coming up?"
"Not that I know of...well, maybe one."
"What?" Ben had to know. He had to know why Kevin had suddenly given him a copy the game he had always wanted.
"Don't tell me you forgot. You and Dad were planning it already!"
"Planning what?"
"Come on, Ben. Stop fooling around. You know, happens every year on the first Sunday of May, I get presents and things like that for...being a..."
Then he realized. That Kevin! Always such a prankster jerk. "I'll be right back. Thanks for reminding me." He ran out of the house and straight into the garage, where Kevin was laughing like a maniac.
"Kevin, tell me the truth of why you bought this for me!"
Kevin smiled. Obviously he knew now.
"I thought it would be a great...pfft...Mother's Day gift! Ha ha ha!"
"KKKEEEEEVVVVVIIIIINNNN!" Ben yelled before Kevin took off with the angry teen hot on his heels. Gwen sighed. Her boyfriend could be so immature at times.
