"We just witnessed the birth of a genuine rock star!"
Ash's heart felt like crying as she plucked off one of her quills off Buster. The crowd was cheering for her. They were actually cheering for her. Her.
She dreamt of this Day. The Day she would shine before millions. The Day her voice was heard. Just as her song said; She set it all free.
Still... for some reason... she wish he...
"Ash!"
No. It couldn't be.
She scans the entire crowd for signs of another porcupine. Just as she was about to give up...
"Ash!"
There he was. Locking eyes with her. Rushing towards the stage. Dipping her... Wait WHAT?
The next thing she knew, she felt something warm brushed against her lips. Her mind totally collapsed, ignoring the panicking crowd before her. Unaware that another wave of quills was flying everywhere. (Some of crowd, even the singers were prepared as they used shields like boards, umbrellas, etc. to protect themselves. Some, like Judith, were so unlucky. And just when she pulled off her last quill.) Then he pulls away.
"Listen Ash; I know you're gonna get mad, and you probably gonna kill me and..." Lance gave her a look of guilt only for her to dip him in return.
"You self-centered, loud-mouthed, cynical..." Ash angrily stated before kissing him again, sending a wave of quills to the now awing, protected crowd. (And Judith got pelted again)
For the rest of the show, the two just stared at each others eyes, unmindful of Mike's cry for help when the bears took him or when the stage shook under Meena's heavy stomps.
This Night has been one musical, miraculous, magical Night. Everything was perfect.
Yeah. I kinda wished this happened and Lance was watching in front of the stage instead at home. Wonder what happened to the other one? ;)
