IDIL's Note: Hi hi! This is just a short piece I wrote while taking a break from projects and craziness. Hope you enjoy. :)
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto.
I. Kakashi
He remembers what he's never even experienced.
Sometimes they come at night, sometimes they're triggered by certain events, but those particular flashbacks worry him. He's pretty sure he's never actually experienced what's happening in them, so he's not sure why they make him feel so happy or so lonely or so lost. The Uchiha clan symbol sometimes triggers sudden bouts of anxiety and fear; the smile of an older woman, compassion; and the more often than not, Rin's face will trigger some memory of love. He doesn't know what to make of them, so like everything else, he figures they're just a part of his well-deserved eternal punishment for Obito's death.
II. Naruto
He has memories, but he's not sure if they're really his.
His don't have any particular triggers, except maybe Jiraya. They don't come only either during the day or at night, and they're so rare that he barely remembers the last time he's had one. He can never quite recall what they're about either; the visions are too fragmented. All he knows is the sensation they give him. He's not really sure how to explain it, except that he feels loved, and this sort of internal peace he never manages to experience otherwise. He'll usually see a tuft of bright blonde hair and blue eyes on a young adult's face and he'll feel love. He wonders if what he sees is a memory or a vision of the future. Either way, he figures it doesn't matter, because what he experiences during those fleeting moments is true happiness, and he wouldn't trade that in for anything.
