Author Note(s): This song is made of awesome. Look it up. Look it up now! I changed some of the lyrics slightly. Just the parts where Colossus and Pyro sing.

A-hem, "Rogue" belongs to Smooch Knob. The characters belong to Marvel. I own the plot. Now read.

Gambit stood on the grounds of the Institute, just outside of Rogue's window. He looked back at Pyro and Colossus. The former giving him thumbs up and the latter was looking at him sympathetically. How did he lose that card game again. Pyro prepared himself on the drums while Colossus held his bass ready. Gambit started to strum his guitar, getting the mansion's attention. Rogue came to the balcony and gave the group a confused look.

Gambit then started to sing.

"Your mutant powers are de only t'ing

Dat stand between you an' me

One touch

I wouldn't mind too much

Just a little kiss when our eyes meet."

Kitty squealed in delight while Rogue stood there, mouth wide open. Logan looked about ready to gut someone and Kurt was busting a gut.

"Rogue, I love you!

Always t'inkin' of you

Every word in deed is true..

Totally helpless...

So very hopeless...

Yes it's true!

Pretty X-Man Rogue I love you!"

Pyro and Colossus gave back up voices.

"Pretty X-Man Rogue he loves you!"

Gambit then repeated it.

"Pretty X-Man Rogue I love you!"

Then the back ups again.

"Pretty X-Man Rogue he loves you! Pretty X-Man Rogue he loves-"

Gambit then broke in with the second verse.

"You're always hangin' out wit' Wolverine

Haven't you got some time for me?

Gambit's tired...

...playin' cards of fire

Don't you know Scott's in love wit' Jean?"

At this, Scott gave a small blush and Jean moved closer to him. Rogue, on the other hand, looked in between embarrassed and ready to murder someone. And that someone being a certain swamp rat.

"Totally helpless.

So very hopeless...

Yes it's true.

Pretty X-Man Rogue I love you!"

Guitar break and Gambit began to break it down. Rogue moved to back into her room and Colossus sent Kitty an imploring look. Jean picked it up as well and by the power of both of the girls, they got Rogue to stay and listen to the rest of the song.

"Rogue I love you!

Always t'inkin' of you!

And every word indeed is true!

Totally helpless...

So very hopeless...

Yes it's true!

Pretty X-Man Rogue I love you!"

Colossus and Pyro with back up.

"Pretty X-Man Rogue he loves you!"

Gambit repeated the line.

"Pretty X-Man Rogue I love you!"

Colossus and Pyro.

"Pretty X-Man Rogue he loves you!"

Gambit.

"Pretty X-Man Rogue I love you!"

Colossus and Pyro.

"Pretty X-Man Rogue he loves you!"

Gambit.

"Pretty X-Man Rogue I love you!"

Colossus and Pyro.

"Pretty X-Man Rogue he loves you!" As soon as the song was over, Gambit looked up at Rogue and pointed to his "friends."

"Dey made me do it, chere," he said. "Sorry."

"Ya bettah be sorreh, Cajun," Rogue snarled, turning her back and crossing her arms. She stomped back into her room, leaving a dejected looking Gambit on the lawn, being comforted by his fellow acolytes.

"You guys got five minutes to get yer gear together and get off of the grounds," Logan snarled, sending the kids back inside and following them. Colossus and Pyro walked off, Colossus carrying the drums. Gambit sighed, pouting a bit as he looked up to Rogue's balcony. He turned to leave but felt something light hit his head. He grabbed the object and found it to be a piece of paper.

Movies Friday at 7, Swamp Rat.

Gambit looked up to see Rogue with a playful smile looking down at him. He smirked right back up at her and bowed, fading into the shadows.
