She was scared to talk to him. He needed someone to talk to though; he needed someone to say something to him. He was just sitting there staring at his shoes. She approached him slowly and stood just a few feet away from him. He looked up at her and smiled slightly "Hi Max." He said simply and went back to starring at his feet.
"Logan," she said and paused and then took a deep breath and prepared to say all she wanted to say, "Logan I'm sorry. I'm sorry you lost everything because of me and I'm sorry over the virus and I'm sorry I dropped into your apartment that night. I'm just sorry." She said and turned to walk away. Until he spoke up.
"It's not your fault Max." He said looking at her back. She wouldn't turn to face him. "I'm glad you dropped into my penthouse that night." He stood up and moved to stand in front of her.
"Logan, you have no place to live! You lost almost everything and it's my fault!" she said, starring at her own feet.
"Max, I didn't lose everything. I have this…" He said, pulling a gold locket out of his pocket. "I have my laptop and I have Eye's Only to rebuild." He wanted to say something else, he wasn't going to say it but he had nothing to lose. "The only thing I lost was you Max. The fact is though; I'll never really lose you- no matter how cinematic or cheesy this may sound- you'll always be in my heart. First love might be strong and you might never forget it but, the way I love you, well- my heart will never be the same Max."
Max couldn't answer. She opened her mouth then closed it; tears were welling in her eyes. Logan couldn't stand it anymore. "See you around Max." he answered, tears welling in his eyes, and walked away.
"I love you too Logan." Max muttered through her tears, sinking to sit in the seat just vacated by him.
