A swoosh. A breeze passing his features. Sesshomaru turned his head slightly, noting the silhouette of Kagura standing suddenly to the right of him. Her form was tranquil in the starlight, hidden by a moonless night.

Neither of them spoke. Sesshomaru did not think much of it, only that there must be something else that she wanted of him. Something to do with killing what he already planned to kill.

Her form continued to be unmoving, staring off the cliff as he was, the breeze ruffling her hair and the magic feather in it a bit.

His usually composed thoughts stared to jag from the pattern- wondering what she was doing here, what she wanted. Why she couldn't control that breeze and make it stop ruffling her pulled-back hair so.

The scene they both looked down upon was beautiful, he supposed. The cliff-top he stood on swooped down to a valley of pristine green, the stars casting a silver, ethereal glow upon the slightly-moving grass. Like flickering, silver flames. But all beauty, unnatural, even incomprehensible, must end. He'd learnt that. He'd accepted it, he supposed, and had therefore ended the beauty of his childhood innocence.

But that was a long time ago.

Halfway content with him thoughts, the demon Lord found lines being drawn between them and more recent events. Even impure beauty- especially impure beauty- must somehow die. Leaving him with but a breeze.

Why was she still standing there?

"Wind witch," he said finally, turning to stare at Kagura. Half of her perfectly shaped mouth lifted in a smirk.

"I knew I could get you to talk first," she said, her taunting voice framed by the silence of evening. And before he knew it, she was gone on her feather again.

Leaving him with but a breeze.
