So, I've been watching -Man lately. I watched episode 36 last night, as in a few hours ago, and was inspired by a small conversation. A finder named Devon says that Jerry told him that he is enamored with Allen's stomach, and Lenalee says that Jerry was not merely enamored but in love! It was rather unexpected for me, as two seconds before they were talking about the ridiculous number of Akuma in the area. But it made me giggle, so I figured, why not write a drabble?
I warn you now. This is my first attempt at -Man and my first attempt at humor so if it's horrible, tell me in the nicest possible way? o.o; Please, REVIEW!
"Ah, Allen!" Jerry waved wildly as the young exorcist walked by. "Anything for dessert?"
Allen smiled but reluctantly shook his head. "No, thank you. I'll have to pass this time."
Jerry's face blanked, and he stared in incomprehension. "Eh? No dessert?"
"I'm already late for meeting Komui because of having a late dinner," Allen explained with a small shrug. He had just finished another enormous dinner Jerry had made for him after returning from a mission.
"But," Jerry floundered for a moment. "I made chocolate cream cakes, lemon meringue pie, country apple dumplings, and even banana bread pudding! It's dessert! Don't you want dessert?" He practically pleaded. By now, he was leaning over the edge of the counter, as if by doing so he could better impress upon Allen the magnitude of a dinner without even one of Jerry's desserts to go with it.
It did not escape his notice that Allen had unconsciously licked his lips when he heard what was on the menu for tonight, nor the conflicted look that now settled on his face. "I really should go meet Komui. It's rude to keep him waiting so long..." his voice trailed away when he eyed the plates Jerry was starting to pile onto a large tray. "Uh, Jerry? What are you...?"
"Eat," was the single command.
Allen had to swallow the drool gathering in his mouth from the wondrous smells floating past his nose. It wasn't fair, it really wasn't. He needed to get to that meeting, but he was having a bit of trouble reminding himself as to why, exactly, he should walk away from the food-shaped pieces of heaven in front of him, because those little chocolate cakes were looking so good. Surely Komui wouldn't mind waiting a few more minutes. If Allen ate quick enough...
Approximately one minute and four seconds later, only scant crumbs remained. Allen sighed contently as he lowered the last plate onto the counter. "That was delicious, Jerry."
The cook beamed at him. "It's amazing how much you can fit in that stomach of yours, Allen."
Allen grinned and shrugged. He patted said stomach with good humor, only to blink in surprise when Jerry reached over and did it too. "Um..."
"Amazing," the cook was gushing. "All that food in such a little tummy. Such a voracious appetite..."
Allen stood there with a bemused expression as Jerry continued to babble. A second later, light laughter stole his attention. "Lavi," he greeted his friend happily.
"Allen, Komui asked me to mention to you that he's still expecting you." His single green eye gleamed with amusement as he took in the scene.
"Oh, I almost forgot!" Allen quickly pulled back and jogged out of the cafeteria.
"See you at breakfast tomorrow, Allen!" Jerry merrily called after the exorcist, who waved back with a large smile. He chuckled to himself. No one appreciated his cooking quite like Allen. Yes, he loved Allen Walker's stomach.
