Her shape's begun to change. In the beginning, when she was still on the street, she changed her wardrobe to looser-fitting things, to hide it - a pregnant detective might be seen as an easy target in a chase. But now she's given up. And informed us all, now that it's plainly obvious, that her stomach is not public domain.
She doesn't see the changes in her body - in her shape - as beautiful. She doesn't openly complain, but it's obvious she doesn't like them, either. Women. She's carrying a child - the changes in her body's shapes are only temporary - and beautiful.
