Blue's Story
He seems unaware
That his looks sure please.
With the bluest eyes
We've ever seen.
Blue is sensitive,
Kindhearted too.
He loves easily.
His heart he'll give you.
His mother was killed,
Blue's saddest day.
He was little boy lost
When she passed away.
Aww, poor Blue,
For whom life was rough.
Pa withdrew affection
To make Blue tough.
Victoria came,
Amid new turmoil.
She tried to reach
His gentle soul.
She won the right
To call him 'son'.
He learned to accept
Her help and love.
Through all the suffering
There was Uncle Buck.
Blue knew he'd always
Be there to trust.
Uncle Buck understands
The clashes and fights
That come as a young man
Grows into his right.
Uncle Buck to the rescue
When Blue is in trouble.
A smack or a hug,
He gets for his struggle.
Sam is his teacher
And trusted friend.
He encourages him
When life seems at end.
Another good friend,
He also finds
In Manolito Montoya,
Well, most of the time.
When asking advice
'Bout senoritas and gals,
Better to guess
Than ask his ranchhand pals.
They sometimes lead
Poor Blue astray
With their cards and redeye
And hard-living ways.
He's grown to be
A very good man.
He has learned to be tough,
But still has a gentle hand.
He'll learn to lead
And run the ranch.
There'll be mistakes,
But he'll take that chance.
He hopes his father
Will someday see,
The boy's now a man
On his own two feet.
