My 2nd Danny Phantom Story! I'm excited! Anyway the movie in this story is the proposal if any of you dont get that. I dont own Danny Phantom, if I did it wouldnt have stopped showing!
"The ending sucked." Sam said as she sunk her teeth into her McDonald's veggie burger.
"I thought it was okay." I retort, fries being sucked into my mouth quickly, making me look like a vacuum cleaner.
Sam gave me a raised eyebrow look, "They entire movie was about a fake proposal, then it ended with a real one. They started hating each other then they fell in love. I appreciate growth." I answered, shoving in more fries into my mouth.
Sam just huffed and leaned back into the car seat. "I believe people should marry their best friends, you already loved each other, just make it so you share health insurance."
After Sam's short speech, nobody spoke for a moment. They just stared out the car window into the parking lot, watching a fat man fill his overpriced car with overpriced gas.
Finally Danny spoke, "Let's do it."
Sam gave him an incredulous look. "Here!" she motioned around the car.
"What?" It took Danny a minute to connect the dots before he also wrinkled his nose. "No! Not that, I mean get married."
Sam didn't breath for a minute, before she realized he must be joking. Mustn't he?
She gave out an awkward chuckle and said "Alright Danny, let's get married. We'll invite everyone; Ember can be my maid of honor. You know, maybe we ought to have the ceremony in the Ghost zone, then it won't be such a hassle for all our paranormal guest." She smiled, obviously being sarcastic, until she saw Danny's glare.
"You think I'm kidding, don't you?" Danny said, his looked softer by a hair. "You don't think I'm serious, so I'll show you." He opened the car door and got out.
"Danny," Sam questioned, "Danny, what are you doing?"
Danny went the other side of the car and opened Sam's door, Sam's food wrapper floating away in the wind. Sam did nothing to get it.
The fat man had since left, and now here was a soccer mom in a mini-van and a kid from their school, also a senior. They were both watching, interested in how this would work out.
Danny got down and spoke very loudly, "Samantha Elizabeth Manson," he then paused and quieter, with more truth, asked "Will you marry me?"
As soon as he stopped talking, the gas-guzzlers cheered "Say Yes!" as if this were re-run of deal or no deal.
Sam looked at them, then back at Danny, then jumped on top of him and screamed "Yes!" before kissing him square on the mouth.
They lay on that parking lot for a while; a gathering crowed cheering and shouting "Celebrity Wedding!"
When their embrace ended, they looked at each other and Danny smiled. He went ghost, and took Sam to the stars, the cheers and laughter following behind them.
When they reached high above the city, when they were surrounded by the twinkling lights of the city and the stars in the sky, they kissed again.
A week and a half later, an 18 year-old in a white dress with sparkly black clips in her hair, walked down an aisle, to her future, her present, and her past.
Her everything. Her Ghost boy. Her Danny.
I hope you all liked it, I thought it was fluffy, but fluff is fun sometimes. Please review and I hope you all find your futures, love your presents, remember your pasts.
