The demons of Morgoth are the ones whom I fear,
why must I lose everything I hold dear?
I guess it it fate, one we can't choose
A war we can't stay, and one we must lose
It waits for no one, it flees into black
It holds no mercy, or sorrow or tact
But of all the people I must leave behind
you were the last one to cross my mind.
For we had a bond, and love that was dear
While in your arms, there was nothing to fear
Please do not cry nor do sob, for a life that was robbed,
for I now sail away to white shores beyond.
Oh look Ai! Oh Look!
Oh what can you see?
White shores and bright starlight, there waiting for me.
I had thought it a myth, the wailing gulls
A story or legend for tormented souls
But I hear it now clearly, their cries grow much stronger,
for it hurts all too much, for me to bare any longer
My heart aches and it aches for The Undying Lands,
for I cannot be healed by your gentle hands
So when I depart, please do not be sad
just cherish the times both you and I had
When you proposed in the garden under that star filled night sky,
I didn't expect if I said yes, you would cry
But now I must leave those pledges and thoughts,
every moment of joy that you or I wrought
Tell the twins to be strong, to be kind, to be brave,
for I know they think naught, but my life they did save
Oh look! 'Ai!' Oh look!
Oh what can you see?
White shores and bright starlight, there waiting for me
