A/N This is the first story I have written for High School Musical. This is just a short story but if I get enough reviews I may consider turning it into a full story.

My name is Taylor McKessie. I am nineteen years old and I am in love. I have been in love with Chad Danforth for three magical years. When I first saw him a little more than three years ago it was "love at first sight". Don't you believe me I can prove it! This is our story, from the beginning.

It all started one fall, my friend Gabriella Montez was holding a back to school pary, she invited all of our closest friends plus her boyfriend, Troy Bolton invited all the guys from his basketball team and this included Chad. I went to Gabi's house early, to help her set up and to get ready. I decided to wear my new metallic silver halter with my white bramuta shorts, I curled my hair and put in a silver hair band to match my top. Gabi decided to wear her red tank top with a cute black skirt, she curled her hair and pinned it half up half down.

At At 8:00 people started showing up, by 8:30 the basketball team showed up being as crazy as ever. That was the first time I saw him. He had the most beautiful brown eyes and chocolate brown hair, I had ever seen. I had never seen anyone who looked like him. Later, I asked Gabi about him, she told me his name was Chad Alexander Danforth and that he was on the basketball team, and that he did pretty well in school also that he had one sister, Brenda and that we had gone to school together since grade nine.

After gathering this information I decided I would go and ask him if he wanted to go out sometime but every time I would see him, I would chicken out. Every day I would steal glances in the hallways, and at parties, and I would even go with Gabi to basketball games just to see him. I think he was starting to think I was stalking him. Everytime that Troy would bring him near me and Gabi I would make up some excuse so I wouldn't have to talk to him!! I mean how crazy could I get.

This went on for 3 or so months, till the night of my sixteenth birthday. That night I thought I was going to Gabi's to have girl's night, but when I got there, I was in for a surprise. Gabi threw me a surprise birthday party and invited the whole school, which included Chad. The night was going great I danced and danced but all to soon the night ended and only Gabi, Troy, Chad and I were left, because the four of us stayed to help clean up. At this point in the game I have to be formally introduced to Chad, but that was about to change. We had just finished cleaning and we all went and sat down in the living room. I had never ever felt so shy in my whole entire life I sat there and stared at the intresting carpet in the room. Then all of a sudden Troy decided that it was the perfect time to ask Gabi to come into the kitchen so he could show her something. Then I new I was in trouble. I was gonna be left in the room alon with Chad. As soon as they were gone Chad spoke.

"Hey, It's your birthday right, by the way I am Chad," He said while flashing his well known smile.

"Yep it is my birthday, and by the way I"m Taylor" I said in response. It took everything in side of me not to get up and start jumping on the couch like so crazy person. I bet that would have gone over real good. I just had to keep telling my self to stay calm, stay cool.

Chad responded with a simple, "I know. Well actually I've known for awhile."

I said, "Really?"

"I've wanted to ask you out from the first time I saw you, but I was afraid you would say no. " replied Chad.

"Well" I said, "Ask me now."

He did and the last three years we have inseparable. See I told you love at first sight!
