I made a promise I intended to keep,
Into my heart gentleness began to seep.
Blind happiness in the future was all I could percieve.
But then, betrayal incinerated all I had come to believe.
When I discovered his trechorous plot above,
to you I professed my undying love.
I promised I would go to you when the time was right,
So what is this making my heart feel so tight?
A beautiful smile, a gentle scent,
she took hold before I had a chance to repent.
Before I realized it, it was her I pined for.
When she went away, vowing never to return,
I wished to see her face once more.
She looks so much like you,
I just don't know what to do.
Which half of my heart to listen to,
the answer will decide who.
