Disclaimer: The Doctor, I own not.

The Doctor dashed around the console, trying to get his mind of recent events. "Where to next..." He said to himself as he started pressing random buttons.

"Still talk to yourself, eh, Doctor?"

The Doctor jerked his head up to find an amused woman looking at him with her hands on her hips.

"Martha Jones?" The Doctor stared at her for a moment before finally coming back to his senses. "You...you're not real." He said as he pointed at her accusingly.

"Says who?" She asked defiantly.

The Doctor opened his mouth but someone interrupted him.

"Aw, Professor...you got rid of your umbrella? I loved that umbrella..."

The Doctor turned around to find Ace sitting on the railing.

"Ace? Wha-"

"Oi, Doctor!"

The Doctor looked behind him and saw Donna looking at him.

Donna started to say something but was blocked out when the Doctor put his fingers in his ears. "La, la, la, not listening!"

"Oh, very mature, Doctor." Tegan spoke up.

The Doctor started singing louder.

"You won't get us out that way!" Sarah Jane said.

"Grandfather..."

The Doctor stopped his very loud and very annoying singing and saw Susan standing before him.

"Susan..." He sighed, forgetting for a moment that she wasn't real.

"You left me, Grandfather." Susan said. "You promised you would be back and you left me."

"Why did you leave us?" Several hundred voices echoed at once throughout the grand console room.

The Doctor spun in a circle looking at all the faces. Some were fairly recent companions, others were ones he had not seen nor thought of in a very long time. But all of them had the same question written on their faces: Why?

"Doctor..."

"Doctor..."

"Doctor..."

All of them said his name, all of them tried to speak at once. The Doctor covered his ears and closed his eyes to try to block it out, all of it.

"Get out of my head!" He yelled in desperation.

Suddenly, all was quiet. He slowly opened his eyes and uncovered his ears to find himself, once again, alone.

All alone.

A/N: A little one-shot I thought about after watching The God Complex. So what did you guys think of the episode? Personally, I'm excited for new companions. For some reason I'm never upset when companions leave, no matter how much I liked them...weird. I just hope that Moffat doesn't keep bringing them back even though he's not traveling with them anymore. Cuz if he's smart, and knows his Doctor Who, then the Doctor will never see them again. Because he always promises to return but he never does. EVER. But anywho, enough of my rambling...PLEASE REVIEW!
