One But Many
We come from the world of Thessia,
As fair a world you'll find.
The Citadel, the galactic hub,
We were the first to find.
...
With dignity and boundless spirit,
We explored creation's space.
We are but one of many,
We are the asari race.
...
We, the second Council species,
Who rule the galaxy.
With rapid exploration,
We made contact with asari.
...
With this bond of unity,
We crossed the galactic span.
And to this day we play our role,
For we are salarians.
...
Merchants, are what we once were,
And still as we serve the Citadel.
Establishing the standard credit,
We braved financial hell.
...
For our efforts we were granted,
A Council embassy.
For we are the volus race,
Of the diplomatic tree.
...
We have four eyes while others have two,
But sentients all the same.
Establishing an embassy,
We played the political game.
...
Eventually we left the league,
From Council Space we went away.
We batarians are our own people,
We will find a new day.
...
Slow but mighty, that's what we are,
Yet possessing a sense of tact.
Locating a near mass relay,
Became part of the political act.
...
We are content with an embassy,
We do not ask for more.
Such greed is not of our race,
For we are the elcor.
...
Brought to life by the Enkindlers,
We rose up from our sea.
Eventually finding the Citadel,
While keeping dignity.
...
We now seek to show the truth,
Preaching from star to star.
The Enkindlers' story must be told,
For we are the hanar.
...
Driven away by the geth,
And denied Council aid.
We face the dark all as one,
Weary but not afraid.
...
To take back that which the geth stole,
That is our ultimate plan.
We will stand firm against the dark,
For we are quarian.
...
Warriors, right down to the core,
That is what we are.
Rewarded for defeating the rachni threat,
Our population did go far.
...
But betrayed by our former allies,
The genophage crippled our race.
But though krogan numbers are still low,
Our destiny, we will face.
...
From the world of Palaven,
To the stars did we climb.
Against the krogan we stood firm,
Our forces in their prime.
...
A Council Seat were we rewarded,
Our fleets guard the galactic span.
For we are a martial race,
For we are turian.
...
The newest race to the galactic stage,
That is what we are.
Spreading out from once fair Earth,
From the light of Sol, our star.
...
And though we struggle for our rights,
And against our foes' depravity,
We will stand firm, we'll not back down,
For we are humanity.
