"Will that be a suite or a room Miss.....Block?" the hotel clerk at the hotel Plazaria Italia peered over the desk at her curiously. Massie Block rolled her eyes and took out her american express visa, "Suite ah-bviously." She was in Paris, working on her master plan, after the little incident in Westchester, Massie had fleed to Paris so she could think of a deliciously brill idea to make her come back on top, she already was on top, but she wanted to make sure that the Briarwood gang NEVER threatend her like that again.
"Um....Miss.....by any chance are your parents here with you? I thought I saw you come in alone," said the clerk with a strong accent.
Massie searched her mind for ideas, finally, she smoothed her gold and black Stella Forest bubble dress and said, "They're exploring the hotel, you know? Making sure it's suitable, and they wanted me to check the,m in," she didn't miss a single beat. The clerk gave her a wiry look, but handed her a room key, "Room 205, 5th floor." Massie turned on the heel of her Jimmy Choos and called over her shoulder, "Thanks, oh and you should definetly smile more, you act as if you work at a gas station."
Massie waited patiently in the elevator while she checked her cell for missed calls, she had 238, it had only been a few hours since her plane landed, and already people were going nuts looking for her. Reality was, Massie's heart hadn't stopped pounding since she got there. When her parents found out that she ran off, to PARIS, they would definetly send a search party for her. All of a sudden, her phone rand, and she absentmindly answerd it before she realized what she'd done. Before she could even say hello, a voice boomed out. "MASSIE BLOCK! What on EARTH were you thinking, running off to PARIS? WHAT IN THE RIGHT MIND IS WRONG WITH YOU? WHERE ARE YOU? ARE YOU OK? I'VE BEEN CALLING YOU FOR HOURS!" came the loud angry voice of her mother, Kendra Block.
"Um....time travel?" Massie answerd, hoping to calm her mother down. Nope. "WHAT? THIS IS SERIOUS MASSIE BLOCK, WHERE ARE YOU? I'M COMING TO GET YOU THIS INSTANT!" Masssie rolled her eyes and coverd the mouthpeice and said sassily, "Even if you left right now, you wouldn't get here this instant, it'd take several hours!" She didnt' dream of saying something like that to her mom, but pretending she did always made her feel better. She uncoverd the mouthpeice and said, "Mom please don't, you don't understand how much I need to stay." "WHY ON EARTH WOULD I LET YOU STAY IN PARIS ALONE?" schreeched Kendra. Massie took a DEEP breath and explained everything from beginning, to where she was standing right now. After a few minutes, her mother sighed, "Massie, what you did was wrong on a level above the boiling point, but I see your pain, I'm coming up there as soon as I can, in the mean time, i know a friend who lives in the area, her name is Mary Elenheart, I want you to give her a call, explain to her what's going on, and no doubt she'll let you stay with her till the crisis is solved."
Kendra gave Massie the number and hung up. Massie crumpled up the peice of paper and was about to throw it away, but stuck it in her gold Marni clutch, it could come in handy. Once Massie got up into the suite, she hardly noticed it's beauty as she raced to pull out her G5 laptop, she searched PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN PARIS, she came up with 3 that caught her eye and read the online brochures. When Massie got to the last one, Constance, she read it intently, it was just like a Paris version of OCD. She enrolled herself online, and scanned her birth cirtificate so she could send it. Finally Massie hit ENTER and smiled, her new life started tomorrow. :)
