This was it

This was it. As she peered through the curtains she could even picture her mother in the audience. Chatting to the people around her, telling them how proud she was to have her daughter in the show. This opportunity was too die for; she could just feel how proud her mother's was, even if it was just her spirit.

She was proud of herself to; she felt as if she deserved this, she was ready no matter what. She dared to take another look through the curtain, there was her mum's best friend staring proudly at the stage.

Any moment now her name would be called along with Chase. She couldn't keep her excitement from jumping out of her.

"Hey there beautiful," came a familiar voice from behind her.

"Chase!" she exclaimed, "I didn't expect to see you before the show, I well not that I'm glad to see you" she added hastily.

Though before she could say another word she heard the words she was desperate to hear. "Ladies and Gentlemen, please give a round of applause to the dancing phenomenon's Andie and Chase. These dedicated dancers have been working hard throughout their whole lives in order to be on this show. They both succeeded into the outstanding dancing school. Here they are tonight, to present us with a very entertaining piece, please give these two another well deserved round of applause"

"They love us," breathed Andie, "they want us to perform."

Chase grabbed her shoulder and whispered into her ear, "that's right kid, you go out there and show em your stuff and everything will work out."

Deep down Andie knew he was right she took his hand and together they sauntered onto the stage and gave a deep bow. The audience went crazy. This was really happening, she told herself. It isn't just a dream no more. The music began to play.

If I lay here, If I just lay here

Would you come with me and just forget the world?

She would never forget this song. She said to herself never. Move by Move she glided away across the stage. She made some breath taking moves and her agility and grace was awe inspiring. Chase was just as good as she was. They were good together, she and Chase; she seemed to always know that deep down in her heart. She moved like a bird on wings, hoisting herself into the air and then Chase catching her with ease. They even pulled of an expert move perfectly, one which took many weeks of dedication and practice. They pulled it of again, yet this time there lips touched, yet only for a second.

Chase lowered her down onto the floor and then they lay in each other's arm on stage. The applause was deafening and overwhelming. Hand in hand they proudly stood up and Andie performed a delicate pirouette. It was just like a dream. Fairy tales were real.

Someone had shoved flowers into her hand, but at the moment Andie was too emotional to notice, she stood there on stage her eyes #, her mouth open and tears streaming down her beautiful face. She took a bow and then walked with Chase out of the arena.

"You were wonderful," said a sincere Chase, "you weren't too bad yourself," Andie replied. Chase grinned mischievously and then time seemed to be in slow motion. Chase took a step forward to Andie.

"I remember you when you first came Andie," Chase recounted, "I knew you needed

Some work but you were magical tonight." He took care in choosing his words yet his eyes were glazed and his voice sounded as if he were somewhere else. Andie returned the glazed look. If the night had been dreamy, it had been nothing, nothing compared to the heavenly kiss Chase gave her. She had found love and at that moment in her life she knew for sure, despite all the pain and suffering, that fairy tales were real.
