A/n: This is just a poem I wrote for my language arts class. The assignment was to write a poem from a character's point of view, and I chose Nanami from Suikoden II. By the way, this is for one of the alternate endings, the one where Nanami actually dies. Well, on to the poem! *Thinlomiel*

Nanami

By Thinlomiel

Adopted by a war hero,

I knew just how to fight.

I always protected my little bro',

Hoping he's alright.

My brother has become a hero too;

How I wish this war would end,

But I don't think that would happen soon,

Nor that, once more, Jowy would be our friend.

I wish things would return to the way they were,

But those days are long gone.

These new days a so long and queer,

With all the animosity going on.

I wish "grandpa" had not died,

And left us all alone.

I wish I had not made my brother sigh,

By wrecking "grandpa's" dojo.

But my wishing is in vain, For my mistakes all have been done.

But if I could make one last wish from heaven,

It would be that I had never gone.

a/n: I know that my punctuation after each line is kinda messed up, but hey, it was good enough to make it into my school literature "magazine" called the "Scribbler." Sadly, hardly anyone at school has heard of Suikoden. When I ask them, they say that they've only heard of it from me -_-*. ::sigh:: But watcha gonna do? Oh, I should also put one of these, or there might be lawsuits:

Disclaimer: Sadly Suikoden II does not belong to me, but I do own a copy of Suikodens I and II, and when it comes out on November 11, 2002, I will own Suikoden III. It all belongs to Konami.
