Prologue
Konoha, March 23; 1994
"Sasuke-kun? Are you ok?"
The black haired six year old stared at his very best friend, a pink haired, green eyed cute girl of the same age, her small face was set in an adorable frown and emerald eyes expressed worry. He felt slightly better but it still wasn't enough to erase his worries. Well as many worries as a six year old could have.
"Yeah, I'm ok, Sakura. It's just that my big brother is behaving strange and father is not in a good mood..." He trailed off, not knowing what else to say without sounding like he was complaining, he was an Uchiha and Uchihas didn't complain.
Sakura's bright eyes regarded him sadly. She knew that Sasuke's family wasn't really what you could call normal, but the again, neither was hers. She hated that man who called himself her father when he knew very well that he wasn't. But Sasuke had more problems. At least her so-called father didn't really expect anything from her and she didn't have an older sibling he could compare her to.
Emerald irises expressed empathy as she put a hand on his shoulder and smiled at him.
"You're going to be ok, Sasuke-kun, you'll see. Come over tonight. We could have a sleepover, my Dad is out of town and you know Mommy loves you."
A slight smile caressed Sasuke's small face as he stood up and took Sakura's outstretched hand. She was always there for him. He knew she would do anything for him, just as he would for her.
"Can we invite Naruto, too?" Sasuke knew that a party without Naruto was a boring party and he also knew that his other best friend was very lonely without him or Sakura, nobody else liked him, which wasn't fair, Naruto was such a great friend!
Sakura smiled the brightest smile he's seen all day and nodded her head, pink pig-tails flying up and down, almost looking like a rain of cherry blossoms.
"Sure, Sasuke-kun! We three are going to stay together forever! Nobody can separate us!"
But, for the first time in her short life, Sakura was wrong. That very night Itachi killed Fugaku Uchiha and got away before a injured Mikoto managed to call the police. Sasuke's life changed forever in just one night. Scared for her own and the life of her son, Mikoto packed their stuff and left Konoha two days later, not telling anybody where she went.
Left behind, Sakura and Naruto turned to each other, and as time went on, they forgot about their friend Sasuke. Now he's nothing but maybe a dream...
Konoha, September 2; 2005
"Naruto, hurry up! We're going to be late again!"
Long pink hair flew behind a beautiful girl with emerald eyes and striking features, as she dashed to school, dragging a blue-eyed blonde boy behind her.
"Easy, Sakura-chan! I can't run so fast!"
They sped through the gates past a boy with ebony hair and matching eyes who looked after them, trying to remember where he had seen something that could explain the overwhelming feeling of déja-vu, and why he should be running up ahead urging them both to hurry.
Uchiha Sasuke shook his head and went after them, alone with his own brooding thoughts, in time to face the first day in Konoha High.
