Stream of Notes

The spot light shines down on you. Everyone watches as you pick up your bow. Starting on the D string, you create a low and refreshing sound. A sound that travels around the room like bubbles, bouncing from wall to wall. Flowing through the audience as water flows into the ground, nurturing their souls.

Colorful little rests and whole notes create the slow tempo. The audience listens as the vibrato dances across the string. The intro ends and you enter the melody. The half notes come into play, the tempo increases as your bow hit's the strings faster. The crescendo starts as the cello comes in. The low sound echoes through your head as she starts the intro. A Slow beat and long, smooth movements go on as though they could go on forever.

The cannon continues as she enters the melody and you enter the solo part. You start to slow down…and stop. Then the sound from the cello grows. The notes dance around the room like butterflies in the mist of spring.

The solo goes on, a smooth and steady beat. The audience goes into a trance, as though they are in the sanctuary created from the cello.

Your accompanist has left you an opening so you pick up your bow and begin at measure 65. The tempo is quick and rapid, like a river rushing to the sea. Your bow moves like lightening across the strings, right next to the bridge to bring out a loud and full sound. One that takes control in the song. The cello moves at her own pace, a slow tempo that walks you through the piece. The cellists leads you toward the end of the piece, you hit that last note with power and elegance. As though you are an elephant walking on a glass floor.

The crowd leaps up in one mass, cheering as you and your accompanist take a bow and walk off the stage. Your show is now over.
