It was getting harder for her to breathe, but it wasn't because of a life-threatening altercation. No, it was all because of her boss and his ingenious plan to have his workers compete against their number one rivals.
Which was strange to her since he never showed any concern when it came to the other company. She barely heard him talk about them either.
"You're on in 3!" A stagehand frantically said while trying to get others settled.
No time to daydream. I can do this!
School had been an easy feat and only various tasks awaited her at LME, making it seem that she would have a very pleasant, normal day.
Walking towards the LoveMe office however, Kyouko did notice a something strange. What it was she couldn't tell, but she felt something was wrong.
"MOKO-SAN!" She couldn't contain herself; opening the officer doors and seeing such a serene look(which was really a very 'I am pissed look) on her best friend's face made Kyouko explode with happiness. Trying to dodge her friend's attack, Kotonami Kanae faked to the left and to the right, but ended up on the floor, in the arms of her overenthusiastic friend.
"MO! Get off me!" Kanae exclaimed, feigning anger when she no doubtingly was also happy to see her friend. Standing up and brushing off any dust that may have dirtied her clothes, she asked, "Did you hear about the news?"
Tilting her head to the side, Kyouko innocently questioned, "What news?"
"Mo! Do you live under a rock? Apparently the President wants us t-" Irked by the interruption, LoveMe member number two put on a calm face and opened the office door, only to be met with the very mysterious eyes of the President's aide.
"The President asks that you meet with him." He motioned for the two members to start walking towards the elevators, "If you would follow me please." and began walking without any verbal agreement or defiance from the girls.
Looking at one another, and then promptly shrugging their shoulders, the duo followed Sebastian and quietly ascended the many levels of LME.
The President's office was the usual ostentatious showcase that Lory Takarada was known for; this time a vast frozen tundra stood before the LoveMe members(who of course were given the appropriate attire to the President's now 10F office)
"Kyouko-chan! Kanae-chan! Welcome to my winter wonderland!" Said President proclaimed while riding up on a dog-sled driven by multiple Huskies. "Please, do have a seat. We have much to discuss!"
"Is this about the rumor?" Kanae asked, cautiously taking a seat on a questionable chair which looked to be made out of snow.
"Oh my dear girl, it is far from a rumor! It's the truth!" Lory laughed.
"Are you serious? Why did you agree to such a thing? This is not good at all." Kanae was irritated. He cannot be serious. I am NOT participating.
"I am very serious, I agreed to it because this company needs more spice in it's life, it IS a good thing, and you WILL participate."
"May I ask what the two of you are talking about?" Kyouko feebly asked, scared that no good was to come out of her question.
Turning to LoveMe number one, Lory beamed. "You and Kanae-chan, along with other members of this fine establishment will be participating in a talent show battle royale against Akatoki Agency."
