Radiator Springs watched Lightning leave. A smile on his fender; hopes of an European dream filled his mind. Him and his best friend touring the world together – nothing to hold them back
"Don't worry." Doc Hudson told Radiator Springs, "He'll come back soon. He'll miss us. We changed him into what he is today." Everyone left, solemn expressions joining them. He stayed, watching Mater and Lightning leave, "He's made friends here... He'll always come back."
There was always that doubt, however. Lightning McQueen would leave, and the small town would return to normal. Deserted. Isolated. Lonely.
Authors' Notes
In case you don't get it, this is more about me than Radiator Springs missing Lightning. With the new Cars film coming out next month, I hope that I can get close to the friends I made through my earlier fanfiction. Thanks to the friends everyone made, they probably will come back... But if they don't, I might go back to that lonely outcast teenager I was 5 years ago... European dream - the new Cars film, and my best friend from America (who I met through Cars) coming over next month to stay here in the UK with me... :)
And yes. This is a drabble. It's 100 words long.
