"Thanks, Garcia." Hotch hung up the phone before addressing the other agents. "We have an address." He announced. Everyone made to get their vests on and be sure their guns were loaded. "Morgan, not you. Sit down." He commanded.
"Hotch-"
"Don't start, you sprained your ankle earlier, you are to stay here."
Morgan debated for a minute, and then said "what if you need the door kicked in?"
Reid, the new kid, who had been standing by chimed in "I'll do it."
"Listen kid, I don't really think you got what it takes to do it."
"No, no, no. I have plenty of leg strength, I'm used to running, and I should be able to kick a door in."
"I still-"
"Morgan, we've got this, you need to stay put."
"Fine." Morgan said, exasperated.
Before leaving, Hotch said to the closest uniformed office and said, "Make sure he doesn't leave." The officer nodded. With that, the two agents left for the parked SUVs.
*IN THE FACE* IN THE FACE* INTHE FACE*
Once they had pulled up to the curve, Hotch sent half the police and swat team to the back of the house while the others stayed in the front. Reid posited himself at the door and Hotch next to it.
Hotch knocked on it, calling "FBI, JACKSON DAVIS. OPEN UP, WE KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE. WE'LL GIVE YOU TO THE COUNT OF FIVE, OR WE'LL COME IN. ONE. TWO. THREE. FOUR. FIVE." They waited an extra second and Hotch gave him a quick nod.
Reid's foot when flying through the air, making contact with the door and causing it to forcefully flinging it open. You could hear a crack and an agonized scream. Reid's eyes became wide at what he had done.
There on the ground, behind the now opened door was Jackson Davis, their unsub. His nose was clearly broken and blood had covered the lower half of his face.
Hotch made his way into the house, seeing that Jackson's gun had been dropped upon impact with the door. He kicked it further from him and handcuffed him, and on the way to one of the SUVs, read his rights.
Slowly, Reid moved from his frozen state and joined Hotch in the car.
Once back at the police station, Morgan greeted them with "That was quicker than I thought it would have been; what happened?" He asked, seeing Jackson.
Reid shook his head, but said, "You can take care of the door kicking from now on." And walked away.
It wasn't until later, on the jet that Morgan got the full story of what happened, he had laughed, until Reid kicked him and was told to 'Shut the Hell up' that he had stopped.
A/N: I had this idea as I was watching an episode of CMSB, and I thought it would be funny if someone were hit in the face as a door were being kicked open and so it had to be Reid doing it, right? So, anyways, thanks for reading, reviewing in the future and all that good stuff, hope you liked it and last, I do not own CM, as always.
