Remus almost physically flinched a the cheerful singsong.
"Care to take a gambol about the neighborhood with me?" Sirius asked, fixing him with his biggest floppy grin mixed with his best big puppy eyes.
"No."
There went the grin, bringing in the pouting-kicked-puppy look.
Remus refused to look up from his book. "You know you're supposed to stay inside."
"I'm bored," he whined. "Besides, there's nothing weird about a harmless old man taking his dog out for a walk." The guaranteed I-win smirk mixed with the sparkling I'm-so-awesome eyes accompanied his words.
One second… two… three… "Fine. Let's go."
