A/N: Hey guys! Sorry I haven't uploaded anything in awhile. This is just a little something I wrote in Study Hall a few weeks ago. I just love England and America brotherly love! Just as much as USUK, actually. I hope you like it~!

A 19-year-old Alfred shuffled down the hall of Arthur's house. Shadows loomed from the objects lining the corridor.

Clad in nothing more than an over sized T-shirt and his hero boxers, America walked quietly over the old wood flooring, running his hand over the wall. Another flash of lightening snapped him out of his trance-He whimpered.

The blue eyed nation broke out into a run, stumbling and desperate. One after another the flashes came, with thunder trailing its heels. Alfred had been so caught up in trying to escape the lightening he ran into the wall next to the door.

Wincing but deeming his nose un-damaged, he quietly cracked the door open, standing in the now-lit doorway.

"Arthur…?" he whimpered.

The Brit looked up from the book he was reading. His thick brows were knotted in confusion.

"What is it, love?" the blonde set his book on the nightstand,

"Is something wrong?" America looked down, a blush dusting his face. Another stroke of lightening was painted through the sky. Alfred squeaked.

"I…wanted to protect you from the storm!"

England's gaze softened and he laughed softly. The Englishmen patted the bed next to him.

"Well, come over here. You can't very well keep me safe from over there now can you?" A mix of embarrassment and relief flashed over his face. He shuffled over to the older country. He got under the quilted comforter with England, Clinging desperately as the nation flicked the lamp off.

Arthur held the American close, whispering soft, reassuring words to calm the other's cries.

It wasn't long until the younger blonde fell asleep.

England laid there gently stroking America's hair gently until the boy was claimed by sleep; the boy was only truly peaceful when he slept, the Brit noticed. He brushed a bit of hair out of Alfred's face and gently tucked it behind his ear.

It wasn't long, however until England, too, fell into a night's slumber.
