Megaman's Replacement
Author's Note: Hey. This is my first fanfic on this website. I hope you like it. And please review. And I know that this chapter is short, but others will be longer.

Prologue
The robot masters had encircled Protoman and Megaman. Gutsman roared back and lunged at the two brothers but they managed to jump away. The other 6 split up, Fireman, Woodman, and Boneman chased after Megaman, while Pharaohman, Gyroman, and Sparkman chased after Protoman.
Woodman and Boneman created their shields and released them toward Megaman. He was able to dodge Boneman's but Woodman's knocked him to the floor. This was the chance Fireman was waiting for. He shot two bursts of flames at the grounded Megaman, crashing him against a nearby boulder.
"Hand yourselves over to Dr. Wily and he may allow you to live," Fireman taunted but Megaman was too tired to answer.
Meanwhile a short distance away, Protoman was having a hard time fighting off his set of robot masters, which now included Gutsman. Pharaohman charged up his shot while Gyroman distracted Protoman with his gyro-copter. Gutsman and Sparkman also tried to hit him, but their attacks were to slow and could be seen easily. Finally Pharaohman through his charged up shot at Protoman while he was dodging a spark attack and Gyroman's copter. The attack nailed Protoman in the back and he was sent flying a few feet away from his brother. Just as Sparkman produced another spark attack and prepared to finish Protoman off, Megaman got to his feet and covered his fallen brother. Megaman took the full force of the blast and screamed as loudly as he ever had. Megaman's body soon became covered in light and exploded.
Protoman didn't even hear the blast. His body may have been there, but his mind and his heart were far from the battlefield.
"How could he do this?" he thought to himself. "No, Megaman. It can't be. How the hell could you sacrifice yourself for me? How can I live without you? I would have rather been killed."
"Fight.Finish what we began.Don't let my death be in vain.Protoman.brother.LIVE," he heard Megaman's voice in his head.
"I can't. Not without you. You were the reason I have been so happy, and now your gone." Protoman protested.
"Yes you can. I know you better than anyone else, and I know you can do it.For me." was his replay. "I'll always be with you. In your heart and soul.I'll never truly leave you. I'll be here to lend you comfort until you can truly understand me passing. Now go and fight," and the sprit lifted from his head and Protoman was brought back to reality.
