Anyway, I'm being anime deprived right now because my primary source is currently unavailable. So this fic may seem outdated in the way if portrays certain characters, or something of that nature, but just bear with me, kay? Well, I know for a fact the antagonists I'm using are outdated, but they work soooo perfectly~! I promise I won't waste your time! Ready, let's go!
"Far away, there is a land by the name of Fiore. It is a vast, colorful landscape, populated by equally colorful characters. However, despite how it may seem from afar, it is a country fighting within itself, as guilds struggle for dominance over what land they feel is theirs. For some, they are satisfied with a small portion, but for others, Fiore is too small a plane for their ambition...
One of these guilds goes by the name of Phantom Lord. It is known and feared, and sparks of rebellion come now and again, but they are just as soon put out. This guild, now dominate over nearly half of Fiore is large and powerful, and now, it has its sights set on the small kingdom of Fairy Tail..."
Levy McGarden put her quill back in its inkpot, rubbing her temples. As squire and librarian, it was her responsibility to record such events, but she saw no point in doing it while the threat still loomed. After all, if Phantom Lord attacked and succeeded in conquering Fairy Tail, then who would be left to write the rest? The Phantom Lords did not care for books or knowledge: they were just power-hungry.
"Levy?" Gray piped, appearing in the doorway, "Its getting late. Why don't you go to bed? You're already past curfew."
Levy nodded. "Just a minute. I have to clean up a little."
Gray left as Levy kneeled down to pick up a few scattered tombs. Placing each one gingerly in its proper shelf, she wandered down the library's vast hallways. As she passed, she blew each candle out. One, two, three, four...
As she left, one candle had escaped her notice, and still burned as brightly as ever...
