The same story of my OC and her Kakashi just with some added updates. I hope you enjoy it!

~~~~~City of Clovers~~~~~
In the Land of Water there is an island called Ire Land. The capital, Clover City, has been under the rule of the Royal Clan Shima for as long as the scrolls have been invented. Clan Shima is a very highly loved and respected family on the island and throughout the world. The island was very private and the citizens preferred it that way, they wanted to keep their community small.
King Shima Genji has ruled since he was 16 and was able to make Ire Land rich with economy and culture. Every citizen loved their lives and their King. People from all over the world knew to live in Ire Land was an honor but also knew how difficult it was to move there if they did not have an estate or family residing there already.
The citizens of Ire Land loved their Queen even more. Queen Miyuu married King Genji when they were 21. They met during the first Ninja War and were inseparable. She ruled along side the King for years as Queen and Commander of all Military forces, including their elite Ninja force. Few Ninja are stronger than those from the City of Clovers because her strength and guidance were carefully instilled into all her ninja. This elite force was only called upon to fight the most harrowing battles. This placed them, amongst the nations, as the most respected warriors as well as the most feared.
King and Queen Shima had 2 children, twins: Hana and Haruto. Both children had light brown hair, eyes as green as clovers, and so beautiful that some people would weep in their presence.
From an early age, Hana showed great skill and her abilities astonished the King and Queen. She wanted to develop her jutsu and to learn more about the world. So at age 10 they began sending Hana to other villages to learn from the different clans. She absorbed everything and was loved by all she met. Her favorite to visit was the Village Hidden in the Leaves. King Shima and the Third Hokage were childhood friends so the Third Hokage welcomed Hana with open arms.
Haruto was different, more of a strategist as he was able to get the bigger kids to fight his battles for him. He always wanted to stay close to home and weed out those who did not belong, those he didn't feel belonged. He would sneak away to the Security Clan to learn from Hatoko Shin, Captain of the City Guard. He wanted to learn all he could about maintaining the safety of the land, his land.
The King and Queen loved both their children but the King couldn't help but feel that his son was missing the necessary abilities to rule in his country.
~~~~~Present Day~~~~~

Hana ran through the castle to where the medical team and her father were said to be. She received an urgent message while touring foreign lands and headed straight home. 2 years ago she lost her mother to a mysterious disease and according to the message her father was sick with the same symptoms. She wasn't going to let her father fall to the same mystery illness but how was she going to save him?

Hana dropped her bags and burst through her father's chamber door, her eyes first meeting with her twin brother's. She dropped her last pack as her best friend and body guard, Hatoko Gala, ran in panting behind her.

"Haruto." She whispered.

He shook his head silently looking to the ground, tears streaming down his face. Hana ran to the bed where her father lay and where the medical ninja were working hard trying to save him.

"Da!" She fell to her knees.

"H-Hana...you've returned. What tales do...do you bring?"

"Tell us what to do!" She pleaded. "How can we beat this?" She began to sob. "I can send a message to the Hidden Leaf and have Princess Tsunade found!"

"Call in Souji."

"S-Souji?" Hana stared confused.

He was the Chief of all record keeping on the island, aside from the King and his children, Souji was a very important man. A great look of pain crossed the King's face and he gasped for air clutching his chest. Hana realized that she needed to do as she was told because time was something her father could not afford. She shot a devastated look to her best friend. Gala nodded his head and ran out of the room without her having to say a word.

A few long minutes passed as everyone in the room remained silent. No one knew what to say, some people were crying and others were watching even waiting for orders that may not come. The quiet was interrupted by the squeaky door opening quickly and Gala entered with Souji.

"My King!" Souji ran to his bedside grabbing the King's limp hand.

"Souji, I need it recorded that from this moment..." He gasped for air and Haruto walked up, listening closely. "...Hana is the ruler of our lands. Haruto will be second in line if anything happens to Hana."

Hana stayed silent and motionless, the color quickly leaving her face. Haruto clenched his jaw together as a sudden rush of anger and jealousy came through him. He then placed a gentle hand on Hana's shoulder.

"Clear the room. I want to speak to Hana alone." The King demanded.

Haruto left abruptly as the rest of the people followed slowly behind. Souji and Gala were the last to leave and they shut the door. The King stared at his daughter studying the pain on her face as the room cleared. They remained silent for several moments after they were alone.

"Da," Hana began.

"Stop." He whispered interrupting her. "I know you were hoping that I would have chosen Haruto. You are the one that needs to lead our people. He isn't ready."

"I-I understand."

"Kakashi is a great man but Ire Land still needs you."

Hana's eyes filled with tears because Kakashi was her first and only love. She and the King knew she wouldn't love anyone as much as she loved him... but they never spoke of it.

"I will rule our lands as selfless as you have, Da. Kakashi is and will always be important to me but we lead different lives. I have Ire Land and he has Konoha."

"I want you happy and I know he was always the one to make you happy. Hana, I need you strong for our people."

"I'm happy, Da. Kakashi and I went our separate ways years ago."

"Maybe so but you still wish for him." The King chuckled then grimaced in pain.

"You still wish for Ma."

The King and Hana sat in silence sharing a familiar pain.

"Give me your hand. Let me see your bare arm."

Hana pulled up her sleeve revealing her clover and vine tattoos. They were identical to the tattoos her father and brother had. The King did a hand gesture that Hana had never seen before and his tattoos began glowing green. He placed his hands on Hana's arm and a warm sensation suddenly came over her. The green glow was transferring from his hands into her tattoos.

"Da?!"

"I'm giving you my chakra. It'll be stored in your tattoos."

"You barely have anything left! This will kill you!"

"I love you, Hana."

"Da!" Hana sobbed.

~~~~~Village Hidden in the Leaves~~~~~
...A year later...
Tsunade paced in her office mumbling to herself chewing on her thumb nail. Most all her high level ninja were on high ranked missions but the village needed help. Kakashi was still in the hospital from fighting Akatsuki and their threat was only growing.
"Help... from where?" She fought her thoughts.
They just helped put the Sand back together after Gaara's kidnapping. It was too early to ask them for aid because they needed time to re-cooperate after that horrible experience.
"Tsunade," Shizune entered the Fifth Hokage's office carrying a stack of papers. "...we need to finish signing these documents."
"They can wait." She waved her hand not looking at Shizune.
"What?!"
Tsunade then walked out of the office calmly as Shizune ran frantically after her. She didn't want to think about paperwork, she needed to figure out a way to stop the threats that were coming in. Akatsuki was planning something and now was the best time because most of the forces were out on missions.
They walked in silence until they came upon a small bridge. Here they watched the children running around playing while adults, not on missions, worked in the village. As she gazed upon the scene her heart only had one concern and that was to keep the village safe.
"Shizune, we need help." Tsunade lowered her head.
"Help?"
"Yes, help..."
"From other villages?"
"Yes. We need to unify. We'll be stronger."
"Most other clans are in turmoil like us, Tsunade. Who would help?"
Hatake Kakashi walked onto the bridge at this moment.
"Kakashi," Tsunade smiled. "How are you feeling?"
"My team and I are ready for our next mission." He was ready for some action.
"Wait," Something dawned on her and she walked close to him. "...when we were younger you had a girlfriend from another clan, a very powerful clan. I cannot remember her name... It was 'H' something."
Kakashi swallowed hard and his eyes widened, he did not want to relive this pain. After all these years he's managed to avoid it and that suited him just fine. Shizune noticed how uncomfortable he grew immediately after Tsunade mentioned this mystery woman.
"I'm sorry but..." He began.
"What was her name?" She interrupted him.
"Tsunade." His tone had pain behind it.
"I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important."
"Shima H-Hana." He whispered realizing that he wouldn't win this fight.
"That's right!"
"Why?"
"Kakashi, we are almost defenseless. I can see this subject is difficult for you but could we ask them for aid?"
"I haven't spoken to Hana in years, Tsunade. I'm sure I can have her speak to her father about aid but it'll take time."
"Why?"
"Ire Land is a several days journey from here in the Land of Water. The messenger would need to go, get the message and come back."
"Then why not assemble a team and go yourself?" Tsunade asked. "Then bring them back with you?"
"I-I guess I cou..."
"Lady Hokage!" Guy jumped on the bridge from a tree. "You cannot send Kakashi out on a mission of this importance without me!"
"Eavesdropping?"
"Only because I care!"
"Both of you assemble a team, go and come back with good news."
"Okay..." Kakashi frowned.
~~~~~Captivity~~~~~

Hana stared at her face in the mirror. This had been the worst 8 months of her life but knowing she was saving her village, made the pain worth it. She studied the three large scars that she received from the day she was made a slave. They stretched from the right side of her forehead down to her chin, three long scars now occupying her once beautiful face. She was still pretty but nothing would ever be the same now that these three reminders were on her face.

She exhaled a long defeated breath and stood from her chair. On her bed lay her daily outfit, luckily chosen by her. She slipped into her purple and black leather top and fighting pants, they were tight but she could move in them easily. Purple has always been her favorite color and that was one thing she was able to request. The clothes clung tightly to her body that gave her a sense of safety, though she had no idea why.

Hana slipped her purple shoes on and looked at herself dressed. The tight long sleeved purple and black top hugged her body and stopped just under her breasts. Her midriff showing her perfectly toned stomach and the scars that now covered her body. She could have healed them away but didn't want to show them she knew a little of healing. The sleeves came to her wrists while she wore small gloves to protect her hands. She had to cover any and all identifying marks. As Ire Land royalty, her arms and shoulders were covered in exquisite clover and vine tattoos. Lastly she put on her mask concealing her face, the last identifying feature. It was all part of the arrangement. It would be all out war if her identity was shown, as she was often reminded.

Hana had cut her hair into a short a-line to the middle of her neck. Having to hide her identity, she needed to change herself. Her once beautiful long light brown hair now was darker almost black. She closed her eyes after looking at her masked face in the mirror, Kakashi was all she thought of in her captivity. She refused to leave Ire Land for him and here she was, a slave and no longer a citizen of her own island. A tear formed and threatened to leave her eye thinking of the past and all she's lost. She quickly brushed the tear away trying to forget her old life. It's been a year since she was forced into slavery, if he cared, Kakashi would think she was dead by now.

"I'm sorry... Kakashi." She whispered to herself.

"Princess Hana." Lord Phan walked into her room. "Are you ready?"

"That is no longer my name." She cringed at him using her title.

"My apologies, Hatake." Smirking, he held the door open for her.

Hana walked in front of him and down the familiar dungeon hall that she was dragged down more times than she could count.

"You are fighting 13 people today. Make the fights look good. Do not kill them quick or I will have your village destroyed and hang the villagers heads up in your room."

"You don't have to remind me every fight."

"Sure I do. Besides, even if you were granted freedom, your people wouldn't want you to return. They are doing so much better with your brother ruling over them."

Hana headed to the opening of the arena silently. She was happy Ire Land was flourishing though she had no way of confirming this because she was forbidden to have any contact, outside of Lord Phan and his guards that is. She sighed and looked up to the sky. It took to the count of 27 for Lord Phan to get to his perch. She always counted how long it took even though it held no purpose.

As she waited patiently for Lord Phan to make it to his podium to address the spectators, she began thinking of the night that changed her life. She was sold to Lord Phan 8 months ago and has been fighting ever since. She is punished for winning fights to quickly and just because Lord Phan willed it. She had scars covering her back from the hundreds of times she had been publicly flogged. There were two things that she was thankful for, her high tolerance for pain and that she has never been violated. Most guards and Lord Phan's personal men are terrified of her so she was left alone unlike most slave women. She just kept reminding herself that staying here willingly was saving her village from annihilation.

~~~~~Clover City~~~~~
Haruto sat on the throne staring at a dirty old weeping man who sat on his knees before him.
"P-Please..." The old man begged. "My daughter is innocent and doesn't deserve this. Remember that I helped you learn about the Security of the Island, does that mean nothing to you?"
"Your daughter doesn't deserve to be living in the palace? Will you give your life for her release?"
"Yes!" The old man answered immediately.
"Too bad. You can have her back once we're done with her."
Gala closed his eyes. Seeing what Haruto has become and remembering that horrible night he and that horde committed treason while condemning his best friend, Hana, into slavery. Everyone else in the kingdom thought she was dead, but Gala knew otherwise.
"Kill him. Send his daughter to Aslon with the other slaves. Make sure it's done." Haruto's command brought Gala back to reality.
"Yes, your majesty." He nodded.
Gala walked to the old man and raised a kunai knife, killing him with one blow. His own father. He knew this was Haruto testing his loyalty and he made a promise to Hana. He was the only person that could help the people of Ire Land now.
Haruto smiled and stood leaving the throne room as Gala cleaned up. He walked out on the balcony and stared at the villagers shuffling sadly below him.
"That was harsh." Haruto's advisor, Suzu, chuckled.
Suzu was made Haruto's trusted advisor when he watched her strike down 6 villagers for fun. He really enjoyed her ruthlessness and made her his advisor, bodyguard, and Queen.
"Coming from you that means nothing." He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her body against his.
"You make a man condemn his sister to countless brutal beatings and rape, AND make him strike down his father."
"Shin taught me a lot. I am thankful for that but he became weak when he stopped following my orders. As for Gala, I need to make sure his loyalty stays in the right place."
"I like your thinking, your majesty." She hissed in his ear. "I just sank 2 boats off the north beach. Peasants attempting to flee your generosity."
"Really? They grow bolder..."
"What shall we do tonight, husband?"
"I am not sure...how about rob the poor of food."
~~~~~Outside Leaf Village~~~~~

Naruto, Rock Lee, Sakura, Sai, TenTen, Yamato, and Guy walked to the edge of the village.

"No sign of Kakashi?" Guy searched.

"He's always late." Sakura and Naruto sighed.

"Always?" Kakashi asked leaning against the wall waiting for them.

"Kakashi Sensei?!" Naruto gasped.

"You're on time?!" Sakura stared.

"Are all of us here?" He ignored their comments.

"Yes!" Guy smiled. "Let's go!"

Sakura and Naruto were still stunned but quickly followed behind Kakashi and Guy. No one really knew the mission yet but their spirits remained high because of their excitement.

As a few hours passed quickly on the road, Naruto let his curiosity get the best of him.

"Kakashi Sensei, Bushy Brow Sensei, where are we going?"

"Tire Land." Guy smiled.

"Ire Land." Kakashi corrected Guy. "Naruto, we're short ninja and are in need of assistance. I have a friend in a powerful kingdom. We're going there to ask for help." He tried to keep his voice from sounding depressed.

"Help?" Naruto spat. "I could handle all the threats!"

Kakashi smiled but remained silent. Guy's eyebrows came together in concern, his rival has never been this distracted.

"Kakashi, what is it?" He asked in a low tone.

"Nothing." He lied.

Kakashi didn't want to admit it but he was dreading this. What if Hana was married off to some rich Prince or Lord of some kind? She was the love of his life that he had to let go but couldn't...

***Flashback***

The sun was setting and turned the entire Leaf Village into a beautiful redish gold. Kakashi took in a deep breath of fresh air trying to calm his nerves. He was about to do something to change his life forever...

"Kakashi!" Hana ran to where he stood.

He turned and caught her as she jumped into his arms. Her slender body molded into his as she wrapped her legs around his waist. She quickly pulled down his mask and kissed him feverishly. He kissed her back unable to control the butterflies in his stomach, his hands gently holding and stroking her back.

"Hana," He groaned against her lips.

"My moon and stars." She said against his. "I missed you!"

Kakashi smiled every time she called him that. She loved the moon and stars and began calling him that the day they confessed their love to each other.

"I missed you." He kissed her again. "How was your training?"

"Wonderful! But I couldn't wait to come back to see you." She said still pressed against his lips.

"H-Hana..." He began and stopped.

"What is it? Are you okay?" She unwrapped her legs and was now standing but still leaning against him.

Her right arm was draped over his shoulders and her hand stroked the back of his head and neck. Her left hand was resting on the right side of his chest. He smiled nervously and lifted his right hand and grabbed hers kissing her knuckles. He wrapped his free arm around her waist and held her close.

"Marry me." He whispered and slid a beautiful claddagh on her left ring finger.

Hana gasped and stepped away from him staring at the ring. They were almost 19! Marriage?! She sat on the grass and stared in the opposite direction the entire mood of their reunion changing. Kakashi realized that this would just be a dream. The reality of their situation wouldn't allow this to be.

"Kakashi," Hana finally spoke as she stood up. She grabbed his face with both her hands and sighed. "How would this work? Ire Land needs me. Konoha needs you."

"We can travel between both. Hana, I want to be with you."

"I want to be with you. More than I want anything."

Kakashi didn't think this through. She was right, how would it work? They both should have known that their relationship was doomed from the beginning.

"Will you leave Konoha?" She already knew the answer.

"Will you leave Ire Land?" He already knew the answer.

Tears began streaming down her face. He sighed and looked away trying to stop his own tears. He wrapped his arms around her and they held each other. They both knew that this was goodbye, but would they be able to say it? They just hugged tightly for several silent minutes.

"I leave tomorrow." She said weakly into his ear.

"I know."

***End Flashback***

"Kakashi?" Guy barked as if he was calling his name for hours.

"Kakashi Senpai?" Yamato asked.

"Sorry. Lost in thought."

"Shall we continue on?" Guy asked.

Kakashi looked up to the darkening sky and to the exhausted group behind them.

"No, let's camp here." Kakashi pointed.

After the camp was set up, the team sat around a fire and ate their dinner. While everyone else was talking about past missions and training, Kakashi remained silent. He was going to see Hana again and he didn't know how to feel... He tried to put it behind him but later that night when everyone was sleeping soundly, Kakashi found himself unable to sleep. He kept thinking about the last night he saw Hana.

***Flashback***

Kakashi was sitting on the edge of his bed staring out the window while it rained. Part of him assumed that the rain was there because of Hana's departure and the end of their relationship because the sky was clear moments ago. He could not shut off his thoughts because losing Hana was the scariest thing to him and here it was happening. He didn't want to leave the Leaf Village, they need him and it was his home.

He was sitting in his sleep pants and no shirt trying to rest, but it just wasn't happening. Since sleep was not going to happen, he took a deep breath and stood up. He then began running through several jutsu stances until a soft knock made him stop and stare. He knew it was her but did he want to say anything else? The door slowly opened and Hana walked in wearing a kimono. As she walked closer to him she unlaced the tie and let it drape open exposing her bare skin.

"Hana." He croaked.

"Kakashi... I..." She began then said nothing.

She walked up to him and kissed him roughly. He kissed her back immediately and wiped away the tears running down her face, this time unable to stop his own. There was so much passion, love, and pain in this kiss... This was their goodbye. Both of them had hard lumps forming deep in their throats but neither of them said a word.

She ran her hands down his chest and they came to a rest at his waist. He sucked in a soft breath waiting for her touch, wanting her touch, needing it more than air. He wanted to fully share himself with her. She was so nervous but wanted this, needed and felt that this would be it for them. Kakashi will be her first and last love, she silently promised herself to him. She needed the closeness of the love of her life.

Kakashi pulled her close and kissed her deeply. Hana gasped under the pressure of his kiss but quickly recovered, pushing him onto his bed and dropping the kimono. He stared at her perfect nude form as she crawled up his body and covered his body with her's. Hana was his first and last love, he silently promised himself to her.

"I love you." He whispered after putting their foreheads together.

"I love you." She whispered.

"Promise me that you will never take that ring off your finger." He held up her hand making sure it was still there.

"I promise." She stared into his eyes promising with her soul.

Their last night together was amazing. They both shared the one thing they had left to share... Several times that night.

***End Flashback***

"Kakashi?" Guy sat next to him. "What's wrong with you? You seem miles away."

He realized that he would need to tell them the story eventually.

"I have never seen you this distracted, Senpai." Yamato joined them.

"The woman we're going to see," He stopped and let out a sigh. "...is the only woman I have ever loved."

"Kakashi," Guy sat up straighter. "Hana?"

Kakashi and Yamato stared at Guy baffled he remembered someone.

"I haven't seen her in years." He nodded.

"I remember her too." Yamato agreed.

"The last night I saw her was the greatest night of my life. I awoke the next morning and she was gone... except for this."

Kakashi dug an envelope out of his pocket and handed it to Yamato. He opened it and together Guy and he looked at the small paper and photo.

"Kakashi, you will always and forever be mine and I yours. -Hana"

"How old were we?" Guy had tears falling down his face. "Love is so beautiful! Especially the two of you."

"We were almost 19 at the time of that letter but we trained together since we were 10."

"You two were a match made in Heaven." Guy sobbed uncontrollably.

"She is beautiful..." Yamato stared at the photo of Kakashi and a beautiful woman then looked at Guy.

"So sad youth and love failed!" He sobbed.

"Senpai," Yamato shook his head at the sobbing man. "...why haven't you contacted her since then?"

"I have tried but she never responded. I even went to Clover Castle several times and she would never receive me."

"Kakashi," Guy cried. "...my heart hurts for you! You two were so beautiful together."

"This is going to be a long trip." Kakashi looked at Yamato.
