I do not own Tokyo Mew Mew.
This is a Pai and Lettuce story. It's a one shot. Enjoy reading.
"I'm done!" Lettuce cried out, putting down her rag. She ran to the changing room and quickly changed into a green jumpsuit. Pushing her glasses up, she ran out the door before anyone could ask her where she was going.
"Wow, she's in a hurry..." Mint commented, sipping some tea. Ichigo glared at her, but didn't say anything. Lettuce had told Ichigo that she had a science project due tomorrow, and the one she had made had broke. Lettuce was going to have to work extra hard tonight in order to fix the project by tomarrow. Ichigo then got back to work.
Lettuce ran through the park, but suddenly stopped as Pai came out of nowhere. "P-Pai-san?" Lettuce asked, before grabbing her power pendent and holding it close to her lips.
"If your here to fight..." Lettuce began before Pai shook his head.
"I'm simply here to tell you something." Pai said calmly. He looked at Lettuce but didn't seem to realize she wasn't in the mood to talk.
"I'm sorry, but I really have to get going..." Lettuce said, trying to push past Pai, but he simply held out both of his hands to stop her from leaving.
"Listen, Lettuce-san..." Pai began, causing Lettuce to gasp. His tone was unusual. After all, he normally talked with no emotion, but there was a hint of something in his voice. Lettuce just couldn't figure it out though.
"Fine then Pai-san, but please make it quick. I've got a science project to get ready for..." Lettuce began before Pai blushed and held out something. Lettuce looked at it, then let out an excited gasp. It was a perfect miniature of a nuclear power plant, and it even seemed to be working.
"I just so happened to notice your blue prints..." Pai said, rubbing the back of his head.
Lettuce said, "Thank you!" and hugged Pai. Before five seconds had passed though, Lettuce let go and started to apologize for hugging him.
"No apologizes needed," Pai said uncomfortably. He looked towards the ground as he said, "I thought it would be a nice present for your birthday."
Lettuce stared at Pai and started to ask how he knew it was her birthday, but he quickly vanished as he teleported back to his ship. Looking at the gift, she smiled and went home to enjoy the remainder of her birthday.
Well, that's it for this little one-shot. If for some reason though you liked how this could turn out, then review and tell me. Thanks!
