With that, the story will begin

Prologue: The start of an amazing adventure

Everything has its beginning. Nobody knows how the world works in mysterious ways. Some say it was the act of the Gods. Some say it was destiny. Others say it was a random occurrence. Out of all the rumors listed, it was all but destiny that chose me to come to this land. The land of Erinn. How did I end up on the land? I don't know how.

All I remembered was being in a mysterious place that looks like Paradise, but it appears Limbo-like. I can breathe the air, but there's almost no wind blowing. The wind is there, but blows in gentle currents as though it was a blanket from a bed. White owls were seen flying in this mysterious place. They were 'hooing' gently.

My name is Shadowfire08. I was brought to this world without knowing. My appearance is mostly a normal, albeit slightly thin, 17 year old human guy. My hair is in a dirt blonde medium layered cut, making it appear that it can be swept by the wind. My blue eyes looked everywhere around the land before me. It looked like a transparent platform with two staircases, on ascending to the heavens, while the other descending to the earth? I didn't had the chance to question myself where the stairs lead to.

In the area, a young woman appeared to me. She had a gentle smile with bright blue eyes and a black dress with what appears to be a ring torque worn around her neck. Her dress had a small ring attached with strings of gold hanging from the dress shoulders. Her hair was white as snow, stylized as twin tails, both in equal length. Her face was framed by two long bangs from the sides of her head, giving her an angelic appearance. Her skin looked pale, almost as close to the underside of an albacore; near snow white. She floated down to the transparent ground elegantly. It looked as though she was like the wind; not as strong to make a gust, but light enough to appear gracefully.

I introduced my name to her. She began to introduce her name to me. Her name was Nao. She had a gentle personality, one which made my spirit feel calm and light, as though I was looking at a deity. I asked her about this place and why I was brought here. "Where am I? Certainly, this place is not the afterlife. I can breathe, see, and even feel my body normally."

She giggled on my explanation. She explained that I was brought here to this land to help a friend of hers. She didn't clarify on who her friend is. "You're in what is known as the Soul Stream. It's not the afterlife or your death. It's where Milletians come here before arriving to Erinn. A friend of mine needs your help, Shadow. Please help her." While I was listening to her explanation of where I was, I heard 2 specific terms that caught my attention: Soul Stream and Milletian. She noticed my reaction from the 2 terms and proceeded to explain about them.

The Soul Stream, according to Nao, lies in a world separate of Erinn. She watches the Soul Stream to guide any Milletian who was brought here. I was thinking, 'What are Milletians and why are they called that? This place called Erinn... What is that place?' Nao proceeded to answer my curiosity as though she read my mind. "Milletians are beings who "come from the stars." They were a race of beings, who arrived on Erinn from a doorway in the heavens and have potential destinies to fulfill." She proceeded to explain briefly about Erinn, "Erinn is the land which all the Milletians will go to once their journey begins. It's a beautiful world that can take your breath away. You will see how beautiful Erinn is once you begin your journey", she told me.

Nao proceeded to explain to me that my journey to Erinn is beginning. Nao also told me that a Milletian has the ability to select a talent that they wish to have. Because of the unknown world I was about to visit, I decided to become a warrior. Before making me set out to my journey, she gave me 4 items. She provided me with a loaf of bread, a small pouch for gold, a letter, and a longsword. She also gave me a large bag to carry items like weapons, clothes, healing supplies, money etc. Another thing she noted was I was going to arrive at a village called Tir Chonaill. According to Nao, it's a peaceful place to see, due to nature being abundant as far as the eye could see. She told me to meet a village chief by the name of Duncan. She told me to give him this letter. I was curious yet afraid of what this new world would look like, but hearing about a village where it looks peaceful managed to calm my fears down. After Nao wished me good luck, the Soul Stream began to brighten in a flash of light, blinding my sight.

When my sight returned to normal, I was at the outskirts of a village. I was slightly disoriented due to bright light, not to mention the fact it was currently night. With a tired but energetic spirit, I went to the Inn of the village to request a room to rest for the night, not knowing of what may come in the near-future.

That's all from here. This is the prologue of my story I'm creating. I'm trying to recreate the story into a more descriptive style from first-person experience of the MMO. It's a bit difficult, but with practice, I can visualize the feeling. Apologies if the prologue is short. It is due to my memory of the events that I have to replay each one on the MMO individually to recreate in first-person.

The style of the writing will be based on previous experiences based on how I played the game. It will, of course, follow the original storyline from Generation 1 and so on. Some parts will be reeditted mystery purposes. Some chapters may stop at certain points from a generation, mostly for learning new skills, how to use skills in battle, meeting pets, and aquiring legendary weapons, some that are not from the game. It provides a sense of character development. I will write the battle scenes to the best of my ability.

I'll have a beta reader or 2 to help me see any issues with the story in case it doesn't satisfy you.
