The castle that never was, held an unusual silence this particular day. There were no cries of terror as a lance flew past someone's head, or the sound of sizzling flesh after someone had been struck lightning courtesy of The Savage Nymph.

Actually nearly everyone was on a mission somewhere.

It was a nightmare for Nobodies like Demyx.

So seeing as how his lover was on a recon mission in Wonderland ( IX really had tried not to laugh at the hilarity of such a logical being having to go to such an unexplainable world), Demyx decided he would check on Axel to kill some time.

Just as he was about to knock on VIII's door he was stopped by a loud slurping sound coming from within the room.

"What the heck?" Demyx whispered to the empty hall, pressing his ear against the door.

The sound continued, but was abruptly ended by a familiar voice.

" Hey Rox, let me try yours."

"No."

"Why not?"

"You have your own, moron."

"It's not the same, and you know it."

"Yes, it is."

"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Plea-"

"Fine!"

The shifting of bodies could be heard.

Demyx blushed brightly as the slurping sounds started up again.

He yelped noisily as a strong arm slipped around his waist, pulling him backwards into a firm chest.

"Eavesdropping IX? I thought you were above that." A low voice teased.

He shivered lightly as warm breath ghosted over the shell of his ear.

"But they - I- the noises."

His rambling was halted by a finger pressed against his lips.

"Of course Dem" Zexion assured gently. However that act was ruined by a condescending smirk.

Demyx pouted childishly and was about to defend himself , when he was interrupted yet again.

"So Dem do you want to remain here and go about your previous activates, or would you rather accompany me back to our room so you can properly welcome me back?"

Never in the history of Nobodies has a dark gateway been opened so fast.

-Back in Axel's room-

"Hey Rox, you lied."

"No, I didn't."

"Yeah, you did your sea salt ice cream was better than mine."
