A/N: NOOOO! It's happened again! I've lost all inspiration for my story! Don't worry though, I do plan on finishing Saving Me.... it may just take a very long time. Anyway, This is a short snippet from.... my brain. (My friend made me watch New Moon with her, and I just re-watch Harry Potter 5 and this is the result of them spinning around my head)

Disclaimer: I OWN SOME NOODLES! And an iPod... and that's about it.

Human Anymore

"You stupid, stupid boy! I loved you! How could you do this to me?!" Kimiko screamed, tears running down her face. But Raimundo's face remained impassive, devoid of any emotions.

"I'm sorry, Kimiko." His voice was dull, lifeless, but she didn't care. He betrayed her. With his few words, he shattered her heard and scattered the pieces on the wind.

He said he hated her.

He said…

She couldn't even think about it without sobbing stronger. Why?! They were perfect for each other. He was everything she wanted, everything she needed. How could it be that he didn't want her anymore?

"Rai, please! Please! Don't- don't do this to me." Kimiko's voice was getting choked up, and she hated herself for sounding weak. But this wasn't just some random person. This was Raimundo! Raimundo, who she had believed she could spend the rest of her life with.

"Kimiko… just stop. This is how it has to be." Fresh tears streamed down her face.

"Then you know what…" Kimiko whispered, her cheeks streaked with tears and her anger flaring, "Then I hate you too. I never want to see you again Raimundo Pedrosa!" And with those words, she fled from the courtyard, unwilling to cry anymore in front of the boy who broke her heart.

Raimundo touched his own cheek lightly, surprised to find a tear had found its way out of his eye. "Kimiko… it was just three words. Three words were all it took to lose faith in me. After the million times I said I loved you, all it took was three words... I thought you'd still love me... I thought you'd understand…"

"No," said a man who had been watching the whole exchange from the shadows, "To understand is not human. Humans judge. Humans hate. They lie and cheat and forget in moments." Rai felt another tear run down his face, but this time he didn't bother to brush it away.

"Then you were right, Chase… being human… isn't worth it… not for the pain, nor for the love. If this is human, then I don't want to be human anymore." Raimundo admitted; his voice heavy with emotions. She didn't love him anymore, so what was the point. After she had promised she'd love him forever… she said she hated him.

It had been a test, a bet between him and Chase. Raimundo had been so confident that she would still love him, even if he said he hated her. But Chase had been right all along. He said she would betray him in the end, just like she did.

Chase held out a pot to the younger boy filled with soup. "Then drink. The painful emotions you feel now will all fade."

Rai took the bowl into his hands dazedly. Chase said he would no longer feel emotions, but how was that possible when he already felt numb. The place where his heart was supposed to be was empty. Kimiko had taken it with her.

If this was what humans felt, if this is what he would have to go through, he didn't want it anymore.

So, slowly and determinedly, Rai lifted the bowl to his lips.

A/N: Uh........

That's all folks! (I'll try to get working on Saving Me now.... no promises the next chapter will be out anytime soon though. I have midterms in a few weeks. It'll probably be out when I go on Winter Break)
