While undressing one night, Bellatrix Lestrange leaned in close to the mirror. Rarely did she ever take the time to study herself like this. Tonight, something unknown had sparked new thoughts in her mind. Running her fingers over her cheek bones, then down her angled jaw line, Bella found herself thinking something she'd never thought before. She began to wonder what others thought of her. Her thoughts were interrupted by the appearance of a small, yet deadly spider. The spider had perched itself on the ornate, gold frame of her dressing mirror.
Suddenly distracted from her thoughts and reflection, Bellatrix gave her full attention to the tiny creature that sat before her. For a moment, time itself stopped as she paused to take in every breathtaking detail the little beast had. Looking at it up close, Bella found herself glad for not fearing the elegant creature. It was beautiful. More beautiful than anything her dark eyes had ever beheld. It's thin, segmented legs were covered in fine golden hairs. The body was a perfectly sculpted black orb, with the slightest tint of gold. This creature was so beautiful, yet so hated. But why? Certainly people had died after coming in contact with it, but the spider had never asked to be deadly. That was just the way it had been born. No one could change that. Bellatrix slowly extended her hand to the beast, allowing it to climb timidly off it's perch and onto her palm. Gently, she began to stroke the majestic creature.
Unaware of the animal's level of reasoning, Bella found herself admiring more then just the spider's beauty. "You didn't change because it was right, or because they wanted you too." She purred. "People just don't understand souls like us." Bellatrix paused for a moment to admire the spider. "I know someone who will accept us." Bella's plump lips pulled into a smile.
