I got some Susan feels tonight and thought I'd write a little bit. Enjoy!

The grief was worse at night. During the day she had plenty of distractions- cooking, grocery shopping, helping out at the local charity, taking care of her daughter- but at night, Susan was flooded with memories of times past.

She remembered Lucy happily twirling in her new dresses while they lived in Cair Paravel. Each one made her as happy as the last.

She remembered Peter being the protective older brother when Caspian flirted with her. And she remembered him glaring from a distance when she told him to stop.

She remembered Edmund practicing with his sword day in and day out. He wanted so badly to beat Peter.

She remembered her parents reading in their study after dinner while the kids played games on the floor. They always laughed at the silly arguments over who cheated and joked until all was forgotten.

Those nights when she layed in bed with silent tears streaming down her face, she was thankful for a husband who would pull her close, kiss her hair, and remind her that she wasn't alone.
