Christmas Spirit

Because my own Christmas spirit consists of parodies of Christmas songs...

It was no secret that Danny was a Grinch when it came to Christmas. He was always in a foul mood around the holidays, regardless of who was in town or what was going on. No one really knew why, most just passed it off as a combination of the annual crowds and the yearly fight about whether or not Santa existed. Hence why is was such a surprise to his family when they walked into his room and heard what they assumed to be Christmas music playing from his computer. After all, for Danny to get into the Christmas spirit was unheard of.

They all assumed it was a song they knew well because even though it was in a different language and certainly had a more dramatic sound to it, the melody sounded the same. As they each came in to tell Danny of various things throughout the day or just walked past going about their lives, they all sang the same words that they thought to be the English translation of the song.

Three great kings, are traveling 'cross the land.
They march triumphantly to greet their savior.
Three great kings are traveling 'cross the land,
A star shone bright to lead them to their king.

The one thing no one could figure out was why there was an evil little smirk on Danny's face whenever he heard them singing right along.

It was clear to Danny they never saw the title of the video he had playing on repeat.

England's Evil Demon Summoning Song

Ah, the irony. This just had to happen after I noticed the simularity of the melodies between the video my cousin found on YouTube and the Christmas song I was forced to sing in choir for three years in a row... (Well...that made almost no sense...)

Comments and feedback are as welcome as always! :D
