To my beloved Dimitri,
Ever since you came back you have been avoiding me, telling me that you do not love me anymore. You say that you cannot forgive yourself for what you have done. But know this. There is nothing you could have said or done as a strigoi that could have hurt me more than you have now, feeding me a story about how "love fades…mine has". Just so you know, I don't buy it. I am so sorry I broke the promise I made to you when I said that I would never let anything happen to you. Please forgive me. Whenever I think of you, all I feel is heartbreak and sadness. I hate you for doing this to me. I hate you for having this effect on me. I hate you for leaving me. But more importantly, I hate myself more for not being able to let you go. I love you, I always have, and I always will. Do know that nothing would ever change that fact. I'm sorry you don't feel the same anymore.
