Over the mountain-tops, in a foreign land far from the present day, two hooded figures clamber up a well-trodden path. One carries a long staff, the other a strange wooden stick, out of which a bright light glowed. He holds it in front of him, stumbling slightly from a small bump in the relatively flat earth. The other figure trails slightly behind, limping a little.

"Stop." The staffed man murmurs. "I can sense the shield just in front of us."

"You can feel it already? Incredible."

"Not as incredible as the spell that conceals this place. The one who cast it must have inhuman powers."

"Of course." The man with the wand shrugs. "It's the Death Lord. No one could stand for a second in a fight with him. He'd annihilate them."

The staffed man grunts as a response. The two wait in silence for a few seconds. A slight shimmering fills the air, and a large silver door appears in the middle of the path. The knob turns, and a man concealed by darkness is revealed as the door creaks open. A malicious and powerful aura surrounds him.

The staffed man speaks. "My Lord, I bring news from the school. It seems that the child will start his first year in the fall. It will be easier to kill them then, but not by much. It seems that a protector of them has already been assigned."

"Thank you, my faithful servant." The man in the door speaks. "It will not be too soon until the plan begins. I hope that you have begun your own preparations." He directs this to the man with the wand.

"Y-yes, my lord. I have already found a position at the school."

"Good, good. You shall be rewarded. Continue your work." The Lord turns and closes the door without another word. When closed, the door shimmers away into thin air.

The two men stand still. Finally, one opens his mouth. "Start the plan already? What does the Lord mean?"

The other smirks. "It means he is back to full power. Lord WartyNose shall rise again!"

So, uh, yeah. This happened. Maybe I need some more sleep...

Anyway, I got this idea from the Hunger Games fanfics. Except I won't kill off the characters. Most of them, anyway. If you've ever wanted your OC to star in a Harry Potter novel, except a twisted kind with too many plot twists and bad puns, this is the place to be! You could be the hero!
