Yeah, I have no idea what this is. Little thing I needed to get out of the way, it was bugging me a lot. I need to work on other stuff.
Anyways, enjoy the little drabble.
Disclamer: I do not own Bleach or any of it's characters or locations.
Being dead, what is there to it? People can only live for so long, everything had to die at some point.
But he didn't want to.
Surrounded by death every day, he did not know why he did not want to die. Maybe because it felt like it was "too early" for him to die. But, too early? Death did not wait. Each battle he participated, he felt death creeping up, waiting to pounce.
So when the gun finally did its job, and death finally came, he did not know what to do. Separated from the living, he left to find other shinigami, maybe go to Soul Society. When the soul reapers did not come, his access to other dimensions shut off. He watched the blood splash, the lives lost, the soul dead, unable to do anything, unable to help, year after year.
And it rained every day in his inner world, the despair drowning him.
His friends grew up, traveled away, and left. He was still tied to his town. No one came back to see the young orange-haired teenager soul.
His sisters grew up too. They also went on to do as they pleased, drifting away. He could not move on.
The years past and flew by, but they had no meaning to the soul. He never aged. Everyone else did. They eventually died, and went to Soul Society. He was still blocked away. Still, no one was able to see him.
Lifetimes passed. A little boy, growing in the city, walking home one day, saw the sad soul.
"Sir, why are you sad?"
Why was he sad? He could not talk to anyone, no one could see him, his friends and family have all left him behind already, nor could he help anyone anymore, and the shinigami never came. Was that why his was sad? He did not know, but still told the little boy this, glad to be able to converse with someone.
"You miss your friends?"
"Yes."
"Do you want to see them again?"
"Yes."
"Come with me sir."
A portal opened, the child led the lost soul through. He did what the shinigami never did, bringing him to Soul Society.
He cried, cried happy tears of joy.
He was finally here, after such a long wait.
"Thank you."
Yeah weird.
Thanks for reading!
