Everyone thinks I am a rock.
Always steady, always strong.
Unmoving and unflinching.
Always dependable.
They do not realize that even rocks shift.
Erode.
Fade away to nothingness, worn by wind and water and time.
Crack and split and die violent deaths.
The storm is just too great.
I am lost in it, and there is no end in sight.
I feel my foundation shifting, my essence succumbing to the forces of friction.
No rock can hold up forever, not even one as supposedly strong as me.
I am so tired.
I give into the storm.
