" Thalia Grace?"

I looked up into the nurse's dark blue eyes.

I jolted up. How long had I been sitting there? I suddenly attacked the nurse with an barrage of questions; is he okay! Can I see him?

She smiled sadly at me and said to me," he was hit really bad". I felt a wave of depression come over me. I slouched back into the uncomfortable chairs in the hospital waiting room.

FLASHBACK

I was surfing the internet. I was sitting there about to get of my lazy butt until Nico called me. Nico and I have been dating for 6 months and were recently engaged. We kept talking about a bunch of random stuff (like we always do!), Nico tells me to come to this restaurant so we can eat before we go pick out wedding rings. He wanted me to meet him there soon because he was already there. I agreed. We kept talking until I heard a boom and a masculine scream. "Nico!"I shouted," Are you okay?"

No answer. "Nico!" I shouted again

No answer

"Nico" I whispered before I started crying.

UNFLASHBACK

The nurse patted me on the back and said," why don't you come and see him for yourself."

N pov.

Ow ow ow. I woke up in this room with no recollection of how I got I there. Well I do remember….

FLASHBACK

I was walking by this Indian restaurant that I knew Thalia would love, so I called her. We chatted like usual about random things, about her new job and our new apartment. We kept talking and talking. I was going to tell her goodbye as I was cutting across the street until I looked up and saw a face that I recognized.

"Sam, is that you?" the girl looked up and smiled. At that very moment a truck came rolling down the street and hit me.

Thalia p.o.v.

I entered the room, all I saw were 3 beds. One of them was filled with an abnormally skinny man, he was sweaty and gross. He disgusted me. I scowled at him. I looked up at the nurse with a confused expression.

"Excuse me, but where is Nico?"

The nurse pointed at the gross man. I looked at her confused.

"but that does not look like Nico."

She said, "Well he just got here and we had to hook him up to the machines before he could die…"

She continued talking to me and telling me about code Q, which is what would happen if his heart stopped or anything else happened to him, but I wasn't paying attention. I was missing Nico. I kept thinking about what I was going to tell everybody. Suddenly I heard a loud beeping noise. I recalled what the nurse said. She said if we heard that loud noise then Nico would have to go into surgery. What was happening?

d.h.m.: hope you liked it!

Nico: are you going to kill me off?

d.h.m.: ummmm noooooo

Nico: whew! I thought I was a goner for a second.

d.h.m.: yeah…awkward…
