This was a gift for a friend (Pheonix-Redwings) that asked me to cheer her up. Love ya, hun!
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters of Bunnymund nor Phoenix's character. (go check her at the ffnet site, she's adorable and a very good writer :D)

This was the day. Yes. This one.

Aster felt a knot in his throat. What was he doing? Oh, right. He was going to propose.

If only it were so simple. He was not good at words, especially when trying to not get lost in her beautiful eyes.

He had listened to a great variety of suggestions on the matter. His friends said to 'try to be romantic, girls like it'; he asked Ari ,who only left him even more confused with something about 'flowers', 'perfect place', and other stuff he didn't get. Only Raja had told him something else when he saw Aster so confused 'Just speak from the heart, Bunny'.

'Sure, because speaking to the girl you love is so easy' he rolled his eyes.

He was a mess, he was terrified she would say no, but excited she would say yes.

He knew he wanted this; he loved her more than anything in this world and would do anything to make her happy. But why wouldn't those four little words come out?

Bunny saw her at her spot with her sketchbook, just as always, and he froze up. She looked gorgeous, all wrapped up in drawing the egglets around her and smiling brightly. Aster wanted to see that smile in the mornings when he woke up and before closing his eyes at night.

With a new-found confidence, he sat next to her. She only glanced briefly at him and her smile widened. His lips split into a small smile too, and he grabbed one of the googies and applied some paint on it with one of the brushes he always carried around. Both pookas fell into a comfortable silence.

Now he just needed the words.

'Ok Aster, say it. It's not that hard. Just speak from the heart, speak from the heart, speak from the…'

"You know, April, I really don't like your name." he kept his voice casual.

That made the sound of the pencil against the paper stop, but he didn't look up from the little egglet.

"I beg your pardon?" April was taken aback.

Good, he got her attention.

"Your name. Particularly your last name. I don't like it." He could picture her getting angry.

"What's wrong with my last name?"

Aster couldn't see how her normally calm and pleasant expression changed, how she squinted a bit, and how she crossed her arms and tilted her head to the side like she always did when she was angry.

"I don't know…it just doesn't suit you. You should change it." He remained on his relaxed position, slightly enjoying of pushing her buttons.

"Change it to what?!" his little smile was making her angrier.

"Bunnymund" And with that, Aster stood up and began to walk away slowly.

It took April a moment to process what he had just said. "Did you just…Did you just propose to me?"

He didn't answer.

"Aster, come back here!" she ordered, a small smile appearing on her face.

He kept quiet, but his shoulders were shaking the way they do when trying to hold back laughter.

"Are you laughing?" instead of offended she sounded happy.

Really tired of not getting an answer, she caught up and stood in front of him. She looked into those eyes and knew he was serious.

It was her turn to be a mess now, but it took her less than a second to hug him tightly and give him the so expected "yes".

Hope you liked it! Please R&R :3
