Practising French
Disclaimer: Not mine, never was mine, never will be mine.
Ravenclaw. She had to sit at Ravenclaw's table, didn't she? I mean, fair enough, we've got Durmstrang, but she's something different. I'd trade her for the surly Viktor Krum any day.
And why, exactly, when the Slytherin table is much closer than the Gryffindor one, is she going over there for seconds? I've got plenty of exactly the same food in front f me, and you ca tell that I've finished with it. It's perfectly obvious.
And, apart from that, why in the name of Grindelwald does she have to go and talk to Potter's gang? That's just ridiculous, that is.
She laughed during the headmaster's speech. Her eyes are clearly in the right place, if she can see Dumbledore for what he is: a sentimental and disgustingly optimistic idiot.
She's also blonde; another good sign. She seems to be unafraid to get her own way; at least that's what it looks like. She's from Beauxbatons, and she's probably part Veela. That almost certainly means that she's a pureblood. Father would approve.
The fact that she's older than me hardly matters. Mother is four years older than Father. Also, since she is, seemingly, related to a Veela, she will age slowly.
Yes. If Father arranged for me to marry her, I would have nothing to complain about, not that a Malfoy ever complains. He may adjust the circumstances to his satisfaction, but he would never complain. And, if I married her, I could practise my French.
Fleur Delacour. A pretty name. More importantly, a prominent Wizarding name. The Delacours are almost as honourable as the Malfoys. No-one, of course, is quite as honourable as the Malfoys, but the Delacours come close.
Why is Potter on speaking terms with her when I am not? I shall have to… rememdy… that situation.
Perhaps I should contact Father and tell him about Fleur and her sister, Gabrielle.
Is fate against me? Why is it that Fleur is marrying a Weasley? Did I do something wrong in a past life? Or even in this life? I doubt it. Anything and everything that a Malfoy does is always right.
So why-?
No matter. Father has contacted the Delacours and soon Gabrielle and I will be engaged. The Delacours have not escaped completely.
AN: Yes, Malfoy did love Fleur. Yes, he still does. Yes, he has changed his attitude just because his father told him to.
Yes, Malfoy is being melodramatic. I quite like him like that.
And do you know what he did wrong in his last life? He didn't review the stories he read on
