A New Adventure

chapter 1

The Letter

Placed within the time when sora reads the letter from the king - Kingdom Hearts 2 ending.

A bottle floated by the sea. As Riku sat staring into the space of the dark island, he noticed the bottle and picked it up. He found a piece of paper inside. He quickly opened the bottle and read the piece of paper to himself.
"Sora, I think its for you," Riku said as he handed Sora the piece of paper.

- Thinking of you, wherever you are,
We pray for our sorrows to end,
And hope for our hearts to blend,
Now I will step forward to realize this wish,
And who knows :
Starting a new journey may not be so hard,
Or maybe it has already begun.
There are many worlds,
But they share the same sky -
One Sky, One destiny

- Kairi

Suddenly Sora and Riku saw a light come from the water standing in a upright position. Sora got to his feet looking straight at the light. His head then turne to face Riku.
"Light?" Riku said looking puzzled.
"The door to light," Sora replied.
"We'll go together!" Sora said holding his hand out to help Riku up.
"Yeah," Riku replied. Sora and Riku took steps towards the light and eventually walked into the light and found themselves in the sky with their eyes closed.

Below them was water and an Island. Falling at the speed of light, Sora and Riku found themselves in the water. By the time they were above water level they could only just breath.
"Sora! Riku!" A voice shouted. Sora searched with his eyes for the home of the voice and come across a girl, a girl Sorawas fond of. The girl Sora dreamed of seeing again, Kairi.
"Ahh, Kairi," Sora said in a cheerful voice. Sora started to swim towards the girl, with Riku not far behind. When Sora was five steps away from the girl of his dreams, 3 figures appeared out of nowhere.
"Donald, Goofy!" Sora exclaimed.
"Mickey!" Riku exclaimed. Donald and Goofy jumped in the air to land on Sora. King Mickey jumped and Riku caught him.

"W-Were back..." Sora said sounding surprised.
"Your home," Kairi replied.

4 days after the arrival, Sora found Riku sitting on a tree branch. Sora walked over and stood there.
"Nothings changed, huh?" Riku asked.
"Nope, and nothing will," Sora replied. The two of them gazed into the sunset and looked blocking everything out.
"What a small world," Riku said.
"Part of one that's much bigger," Sora explained.
"Yeah..."Riku replied, understanding what he had just been told.

Sora looked up at riku.
"Hey Riku, what do you think it was... the door to the light?" Sora asked. Riku jumped off of the tree branch.
"This..."Riku said pointing at Sora's heart.
"This?" a puzzled Sora replied.
"Yeah, its always closer than you think," Riku explained. Sora smiled as he understood what his best friend had said.

"Sora! Riku!" Kairi calld. She came in holding a bottle with a note inside it.
"Hey...whats up?" Sora asked.
"Look," Kairi ordered. She had found the kings seal.
"The King?" Sora asked at the same moment snatching the bottle out of Kairi's hands. He quickly opened the bottle and rushed the note out of it. He rolled the piece of paper down and read it out loud.

- Dear Sora, Riku and Kairi,
I have been asked to tell you that the three of you and me are going to have to go on a new journey, as after you deafeted Xemnas, and all of the heartless and nobodys, All of the worlds hve gone back to their original state - and it isn't a good one! There are now stronger heartless and they have already taken over the worlds with a new leader -
"A new leader?" Kairi asked. Sora ignored her and read on.
