Lily stood in awe of what she saw. She wasn't aware of her mouth being open. This could just not be happening. "What are you doing here?" she asked. A very arrogant and very handsome (she would never admit it) James Potter sat in the Prefect carts. "I happen to be the head boy!"

"Not a chance!"she yelled, "Why would they ever pick you for a position like that?"

It was true. James was the worst troublemaker there was. He was th leader of a small gang of boys who did nothing but prank everyone else all the time.

"Why Lily," he said with fake sympathy, "I am surprised at you! They picked me because they knew how well we'd get along!" lily was out of things to say. She knew once a person was chosen for Head Boy there was slim chance of removal. The Prefects came and went but Lily sat there stunned. She started to feel sort of woozy, dizzy almost. Lily put on a fake smile and sat next to James with difficulty.

"Are you ok Lil? You look pale." James was crouching in front of her now. His beautiful brown eyes were hoovering in front of her. Was it just Lily, or did he really seem worried? The thought had barely passed her mind before everything started to go black.

When Lily woke up, she was in the hospital wing. There were figures standing over her but she could not tell yet who they were. She heard voices but could not yet tell what they were saying. One person stepped forward and leaned in closer. Lily recognized this person as Madam Pomfrey. She kept saying focus...focus Lily. Foooocuuusss. Lily blinked a few times before everything was clear. She now saw that the people standing over her (besides Madam Pomfrey) were her best friends Laney and Jess. Lily smiled. She had not seen them on the train, she had not seen them since last year. "Oh Lily!" cried Jess, "I came the second James told me you'd collapsed!" Lily smiled an even bigger smile. Jess was always a drama queen. The smile left her face when she understood what Jess had just said. "Who found me?" she asked. Madam Pomfrey was tending to a small bruise on Lily's arm. "It was that Potter boy." she answered, "never thought he'd be good for anything but putting people in here from those pranks of his."

"James?" asked Lily, "James Potter?"

"Yea" said Laney

"If it wasn't for him, you might be dead!" screamed Jess.

"Now don't overreact!" Madam Pomfrey instructed, "You're fine. You just need to relax and drink some more water. You're completely dehydrated!" Lily took the glass of water Madam Pomfrey was holding so close to her face that she could feel the water condensing. She drank a little, put the glass down, and fell to sleep.
