This is a short story starring Smacked CSI:NY, and Melissa – Stellas adopted Daughter
Stella sat with Mac on the sofa in his office, their hands entwined over her stomach, "I cannot believe it, We're finally going to have a baby"
Mac grinned and nodded, "Yeah" he said softly, holding her close to him.
Stella grinned happily, leaning back with her eyes closed, as she snuggled into her husband.
Melissa watched from the doorway and walked away, and sighed, walking down the corridor of the lab and brushed a tear from her own cheek.
Lindsay came out of the break room and embraced her when she saw her, "What's wrong?" she asked softly
Lissa looked down and shook her head, "Can..Can I stay with you for a little bit please?" she asked crying
Lindsay nodded, "If your mom says you can then of course you can"
Lissa sighed, "Like she cares"
Lindsay raised her eyerows, "What do you mean?"
Melissa sat in the break room, "I overheard her talking to dad about the baby, and how they will finally have their own kid"
Lindsay embraced her tightly, "Hey they are just excited that's all"
Melissa sighed, "I'm just in the way Linds"
Stella looked at her from the doorway, "In the way of what?"
Melissa turned away and curled up tightly, as Stella moved forwards and sat down while Lindsay explained it to Stella.
Stella moved and hugged fourteen year old Melissa tightly, "No matter what, you are my child and I love you, You are my first child, I love you" she insisted to her
Lissa nodded, "Love you too mom"
