The Making of Jak II
Author notes:
Well, here's my new story! I decided to have a side story going while I tango with writer's block for Escaping Haven: a Tale of Three KGs. I thought it up while playing with the Jak II and 3 model viewers and how the characters act like the games were movies what with the trailers, personal trainers etc. Anyway, this story follows the cast of Jak II and their wild adventures while "filming" the epic game. Here we go!
Strange New World: Day 1
It was a sunny day; the cast of The Precursor Legacy were well rested from their 10 week vacation and ready to shoot yet another game!
Jak's trailer 8:00 AM
Jak's alarm clocked went off; it was a recording of Gol's terrible laugh. He hit the snooze button, but after falling back asleep for about 2 minutes his cell phone rang. It was Samos.
Jak was still a mute at this point, so when he picked up the phone he would just make that noise from TPL when you kick a crate or lurker (or any other enemy).
"JAK! You're 15 minutes late for the filming of the first scene of Jak II! For the precursor's sake, even that annoying, foul-mouthed, rabid ottsel Daxter is here for the Precursor's sake! Put on your sandals and get over here pronto!" he (Samos) then hung up. Jak rolled his eyes and proceeded to going to the filming location for the scene: Sunny Shores Resorts. Or as it is better known in the games, Sandover Village.
"Yay! You're finally here" said Jak's uncle, the explorer. "Now let's get this over with, I have to go meet one of our new overweight cast members at s fitness center!"
"Overweight? Are we talking 300 pounds or 300 tons here?" asked Daxter.
"Err, somewhere in-between. Let's just say that the script calls for you to call him "Stuffed Crust"." Replied the Explorer.
"Excellent, excellent! Everyone is here! Let us begin rolling!" exclaimed Morgan, the director.
"Rolling in 3, 2, and 1!" said the camera man, Dennis.
"For every age, there is a time of trial." Samos began to narrate.
The words SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS appear on the screen.
"The rocks faced such a fire before they were the strength beneath our feet."
The words "A game by NAUGHTY DOG" appear on the screen.
"The plants faced vast winds before their roots could give us lice"
"CUT!" screamed Morgan. He walked up to Samos.
"It's LIFE not LICE!" yelled Morgan.
"Hey, I was just reading what the cue cards said!" replied Samos.
"Let me see those!" Morgan snatched the cue cards from the man holding them.
"My god, these cards are FILLED with grammatical and spelling errors! Before the plants could give us LICE, I hope you IS PREEPARRED for WUTEVA HAPPENED! Please tell me, who taught you to spell like this?" asked Morgan.
"I'm going to be honest with you; my parents never put me in school! They just got me minor parts in games like final Fantasy VII,Spyro the Dragon and Jak and Daxter The precursor Legacy so that I would be a famous actor one day!" replied the man, who was then revealed to the Warrior from TPL.
"(Sighs) Ok then, everyone take the day off, it'll take me hours to correct these cue cards." Said Morgan.
Everyone cheered and went to their trailers.
