I look through the case file and things just weren't clicking for me. I could tell it was the same UNSUB for all four killings, but the way the bodies were positioned and the way the UNSUB killed them didn't fit the story they were using to explain it.
"Aaron, you've been looking at that case for the past hour. What's wrong?" Dave asks worry clear in his voice making me look up seeing him standing in the doorway of my office
"This case doesn't make sense. The story doesn't match the killings at all. It's like it's a cover up." I sigh handing him the folder and watch him read through it.
"You're right. It has to be a cover up there is no other explanation. Why?"
"It's made me curious. Why try to cover it up? What's so special about this case?"
"So you want to go to this town….Haven." I nod standing up and he hands me the folder letting me put away before we head out for the night. Even in sleep my head was filled with questions about that case. Why cover it up? What secret are they trying to cover up? What could have done that to a body? When I woke up I was almost as tired as when I went to sleep and I knew I had to go to that town.
