Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining
Towering trees swayed to the melody of the gentle breeze while blades of grass danced in unison. The scenery certainly was a sight for sore eyes.
Meadows of various shades of greens stretched for miles, not forgetting the clear blue sky with cotton wool clouds high above.
If it wasn't for the hard labour of climbing up steep jagged rocks everything would have been perfect.
You expected nothing less from the slate haired teen, he was the most unpredictable person you had met in your life time and nothing he ever did seized to amaze you.
Although suggesting going rock climbing for a date wasn't exactly your idea of fun.
Huffing and puffing trying to catch back your breath while clinging to the rough exterior of a mountain the concentration was broken.
"Look Kai, I appreciate you helping me with ascending on a dangerous mountain and all…but…it's not exactly what I had in mind," you confessed lazily
The duo haired male stopped to glance in your direction, staying silent.
"Kai?" you questioned tilting your head for a response "Were not suppose to be training,"
"Your right, let's turn back," agreed Kai plainly
Such a request after being in a life threatening position for over three hours you didn't know how to react. Half of you was glad to be getting off the mountain while the other half was fuming since it was a waste of time, quite frankly you could have been doing something more important.
A furious state of mind took your eye off the ball, misplacing your foot caused the ground beneath you to give way. Gravity made short work of taking control of your body as you fell towards what felt life the bottom of the universe, snapping your eyes shut readying yourself for some painful impact, it never came.
*Am I dead or unconscious?* you thought
Slowly peering out an opened eye you discovered that you were suspended mid air, there was a firm grip around your wrist preventing you from falling any further. Gazing up you saw the phoenix using all his mite to keep you unharmed.
"Are you just going to hang about all day," spoke Kai through gritted teeth
At such a comment coming from the crimson eyed blader put a smile back on your face as you helped in rescuing yourself, using the outer surface you bunny hopped up towards safety. One last heave from Kai pulled you up but Kai obviously didn't realize his own strength or he did it on purpose.
Eyes widened in shock as you felt two strong arms embracing you round the waist and upper back, those arms belonged to the only person accompanying you, Kai.
Smiling proudly as if to have won a trophy you returned the hug.
"That was too close," admitted the teen blader the sound muffled as he spoke into your shoulder.
"Oh it wasn't that ba…," you started but were soon cut off.
The two-tone hair male had pushed his lips directly onto your own in a passionate kiss, this kiss was meaningful it didn't take a genius to work that out. You didn't hesitate but just went with the flow, it was over in minutes and as your eyes connected.
"I thought id lose you," confessed Kai warmly "I love you,"
Frowning you gave a short reply "Ok, where's Kai and what have you done with him?"
This made the phoenix master smirk as he aided you to your feet and made a descend down the mountainside together.
