Missions like these never really concern me. I guess all the training has prepared me enough not to get nervous. The assassinations that are of important people are the one's that I have to prepare more for. Those are a little more difficult due to all the security surrounding them. This one however should be a piece of cake. I gather all the info about my subject that my informant got for me. I check my watch and head out the door to my location. The drive there takes longer than normal due to heavy traffic. When I finally get there I hardly notice it's quite a bit more crowded than it usually is, not that it bothers me one bit. With all the extra amount of people it's not as easy to get into position as it should be, however I have given myself enough time for all these little hiccups. I get into my position and am searching for where the target is supposed to be when there's a very distinct click of a gun from behind me just as the town's clock chimes 4.
The chiming doesn't stop when I wake up however. There's a chill that runs down my back as I get up to turn my alarm off, but I can't seem to figure out why. I know it can't be about my mission today due to it's not of anyone that will be missed. I try and shake the feeling of dread as I get ready. I go to my everyday, lay low kind of job, and by the end of the work day I have totally forgotten about how I felt when I woke up. I go home and redress getting ready for the more exciting second half of my day. I gather my intel and make sure I give myself enough time just incase. As I'm driving to my destination I can't help but feel a sense of deja-vu when I get stuck in traffic and then again when I notice the town's square is more crowded than usual for 3:40. As I look around I can't help but notice some suspicious characters just standing around. I try and just shake it off but something is telling me not to continue on with this job. I get in position and as the town's clock is about to chime 4, I remember my dream from last night.
Hope you enjoyed!~HP
