So, sorry to all reading "Different", I apologize. This story just came to me and I had to do it. I will really try my best to update but, who knows.

This is just a short story about Ash.

Forgetful

He walked around, looking at all his friends. All there, ready to celebrate his 21st birthday. He couldn't believe that they all came! What luck!

He looked over and saw his Mother, Delia Ketchum, who looked a bit sad. He smiled at her and she gave a warm but strained smile. Maybe she was just worn out from preparing the party. After everything was done, he'd just do all the cleaning.

A few minutes later, the cake came. Everyone cheered while Delia lit up the candles. Then they started to sing.

Happy Birthday to you

Suddenly someone disappeared.

Happy Birthday to you

Slowly, his friends began to fade out, making the crowd smaller. What was happening?

Happy Birthday to a-Ash

His mother appeared to be getting some-no, a lot of gray hair; His friends still fading out.

Happy Birthday to you

It was now only a few people in the room, each fading out one by one.

"Come on, make a wish dummy!" Misty said playfully.

"That's right, I helped your mom bake the cake!" Brock said, smiling.

"We can battle after, okay?" Max yelled.

"The cake looks good, so hurry up!" May lightheartedly yelled.

"No need to worry, any wish is better than no wish!" Dawn called.

"But it should be a sweet wish to match the sweet cake!" Cilan explained.

"Make it a good one you little kid!" Iris said, giggling.

"Come on Ash, I want cake!" Bonnie exclaimed.

"I have some cake cutting gear ready to use", Clemont said.

...

A tear fell. From the three people there.

...

"...Don't waste your wish, Ash", Serena said. "Please don't forget."

At last, the room showed its true self. A dusty, almost empty room. Ash sat on one side of a table, a small cupcake in front of him with two candles reading 2 and 1. His mother sat on the other side, with wrinkles, gray hairs, and tear. She got up and brought a bottle to her son. She popped the top. "Make a wish Ash", she said.

I wish...

He remembered all the adventures and all the friends he had made.

I wish...

The good times, the bad times, they all had shared some things that most people could only dream of seeing.

I wish...

Where did those times go? Why?

He blew out the candles, crying. His mother pulled him into a hug. "Drink", was all she said, but was ashamed.

He turned and took a swig.

...

"I wish all my friends would come back", Ash Ketchum said, before drinking all his problems away.
